What do you love about Benson Amps? Is the Benson Tall Bird your primary reverb? As a fairly low wattage amp, do you find it to be enough live?

"I do well with very limited options concerning gear in general. I really like that the Benson Monarch is just Volume, Tone, and a Mid-range boost switch. It pairs really nicely with my Jazzmaster too.

The Benson Tall Bird is by far my favorite reverb that I’ve ever used and I use it all the time. It’s all tube and really rich sounding. You can get some pretty huge cavernous sounds out of it without losing any volume (that’s the biggest downfall of the Holy Grail) and it’s never splashy or thin sounding. If I had to go with a pedal instead of the Tall Bird, I would definitely pick up a Strymon Blue Sky.

I personally don’t mind that it is a lower wattage amp, but I’m sure that if I joined Swans I wouldn’t be bringing it with me."
