Adverbs of Time
Cuando queremos expresar en qué momento se realiza una acción, utilizamos
los adverbios de tiempo: now, early, late, soon, already, tomorrow.
early (érli) - temprano
late (léit) - tarde
earlier (érlier) - antes, más temprano
later (léiter) - luego, más tarde
then (den) - luego, entonces
before (bifór) - antes
after (áfter) - después
afterwards (áfteruárds) – luego
now (náu) - ahora
nowadays (náuedéis) – hoy día
these days (díis déis) - en estos días
currently (kérrently) - actualmente
at present (at présent) - en el presente
today (tchudéi) - hoy
tomorrow (tchumórou) - mañana
yesterday (iésterdei) – ayer
still (stil) - todavía
already (olrédi) - ya
yet (iét) - ya, aún
not yet (nót iét) - no aún
no longer (nóu lónguer) - ya no
not any more (nót eni móor) - ya no
just (dchást) - justo, recién

EL PRESENTE SIMPLE
Form (Forma)
Para conjugar el presente simple usamos el infinitivo para los sujetos “I”, “you”,
“we” y “they” y para las terceras personas “he”, “she” y “it”, añadimos una “-s”
al final del verbo.
Sujeto Conjugación
Ejemplos:
I talk.(Yo hablo.)
He eats.(Él come.)
They learn.(Ellos aprenden.)
Ejemplos:
I do not [don’t] talk.(Yo no hablo.)
Nota: En frases negativas, el verbo auxiliar (“to do”) cambia y el verbo principal
va en el infinitivo.
Ejemplos:
Do you talk?(¿Hablas tú?)
Uses (Usos)
Ejemplos:
I always talk to my mother on Sunday.(Siempre hablo con mi madre el
domingo.)
Excepción:
Los adverbios de tiempo van delante del verbo, excepto el verbo “to be”
(ser/estar). Cuando se usa “to be” el verbo va delante del adverbio.
Ejemplos:
I am always happy.(Siempre estoy contento.)
Ejemplos:
He does not [doesn’t] eat vegetables.(Él no come verduras.)
She works in a hospital.(Ella trabaja en una hospital.)
Ejemplos:
The train leaves at 10:00.(El tren sale a las 10h.)
Ejemplos:
Open the window.(Abre la ventana.)
