- Convierten los fármacos en sustancias más polares insertando grupos polares (OH, NH2, SH) o eliminando grupos
no polares.
- Más fáciles de excretar por orina o bilis que sus precursores ZONA III
REACCIONES DE FASE II
• Conjugan xenobióticos o sus metabolitos con moléculas hidrofílicas endógenas como el ácido
glucorónico, acetato, sulfatos, aa y glutatión.
• Los xenobióticos conjugados suelen ser menos eficaces, menos tóxicos, más hidrofílicos y más
fáciles de excretar.

GASES INHALATORIOS
• Todos los volátiles pueden producir inflamación o muerte de los hepatocitos por toxicidad directa.
HEPATITIS:
• Cx electiva: proponer hasta que se resuelva caso de H. aguda
- Mortalidad 10% (laparotomia)
- Morbilidad 12%
Debe evitarse:
- Disminución flujo hepático
- Hipotensión
- Activación simpática excesiva
- Presiones elevadas en las vías respiratorias
CIRROSIS
• Pacientes inestables, con hemorragia activa: intubación con paciente despierto o secuencia de intubación rápida.
