Since retiring from MMA fighting in March after a controversial year Conor McGregor has mostly been receiving good press.
The Crumlin-born fighter was lauded for doing his part to tackle the homeless crisis in May when he announced that he was building eight houses in Dublin for families forced to reside in hotels.

Conor shared the news via Instagram and the post has since been liked 1.5m times which is what makes his latest social media offering so hard to swallow.
The fighter posted a picture of himself wrapped in a fur mink coat and bragged about how much cash he dropped on it.
'I bought this coast for 55 thousand U.S. Dollars at the Gucci Boutique store on 5th Avenue in New York. The same location I bought the second one, with the dragon emblazoned on the back. Costing 80K. Both these coast are hand made 1 of 1's,' he bragged.
He then went on to talk about how the coats had 'been become iconic from a fight game stand point, he wore one during his Mayweather fight but also because 'they are the last of their kind.'
Gucci has discontinued to its use of animal skin from its collection which according to McGregor means the coats are 'like art pieces now!' and he intends to leave to his kids.
He even signed off the post the 'Gucci Mink Pimp.' His thoughtless comments about the extravagant coats fly in the face of his recent good works and will no doubt anger animal anger rights activists.
'Should have left the fur on the animal Conor! plenty of money to buy a good faux fur' one fan responded.
'Wearing dead animals is not something to be proud [it] is disgraceful,' wrote another. Another person hit out at his lavish spending writing: 'Literally just read through this entire thing, thinking it was going to lead up to you donating them to a noble cause but no,' said another person.
'Donate it to charity and stop bragging about it,' demanded another.
