Commuters are facing serious traffic delays across the capital this evening as an earlier collision is causing serious knock-on delays.
It comes after a dark morning on Irish roads after three people lost their lives in separate collisions in Co Carlow and North Co Dublin.
Starting on the south side of the city, those leaving the city on the N7 and M50 are in for serious delays after an earlier crash led to delays of up to 90 minutes to clear the Kingswood area.

Motorists are being urged to take care in the area and be patient while heavy volumes of traffic navigate delays.
HEAVY TRAFFIC
On the north side, the M50 is heavy from Junction 12, Firhouse/Knocklyon to Junction 6 Blanchardstown/Castleknock.
There are also delays at Junction 7, Lucan, due to heavy queues further along the M4/N4 at Lucan Village and Leixlip.

The M50 Southbound is moving well apart from heavy congestion, reported by Google Traffic, between Junction 4, Ballymun/St Margaret’s and Junction 9 Red Cow.
Commuters leaving the city on the N11 will come to a stop at the M50 merge through to Bray before any delays clear.
CITY CENTRE
In the City centre, delays have been reported heading west along the Grand Canal, while the Crumlin Road, Ranelagh Road, Terenure Village and the Palmerstown Bypass are also congested.

Usual heavy queues are in place leaving the city via Dorsett Street, through Drumcondra towards Swords Road, with delays of about 20 minutes being reported there.
