See Many Unusual Things at the House on the Rock in Wisconsin

Despite the name, the “house” part of the House on the Rock is just a tiny fraction of what you’ll find here.

You’ll find uniquely themed exhibits including a vintage street complete with (non-operational) shops, a massive sculpture of a whale locked in combat with an octopus, a huge indoor carousel that features no horses (only mythical creatures), an armory, and a miniature circus. That’s covering barely half of it.

Automated bands and musical machines feature prominently throughout the attractions, from just a few instruments to entire orchestras.

This early 20th century street is complete with posters promoting medical leeches.
