St. Vincent to expand new ‘Daddy’s Home’ tour to UK and Europe in 2022

Good news St. Vincent heads: the iconoclastic Texas artist has just announced an expansion of her Daddy’s Home tour to include new dates in Europe for 2022.

The prior dates announced for Annie Clark’s upcoming tour in support of her sixth studio album were exclusively American based, but it was only a matter of time before Clark sauntered across the water to bring the sweet dulled tones of 1970s pop-funk to our shores.

The trek will take Clark and her band through Slovenia, Czech Republic, Poland and Denmark before heading over to Ireland and finally landing in Scotland and ending the tour in London. Although the European tour only consists of eight shows, Clark is covering a ton of ground in a relatively short amount of time.

The London show is set to be St. Vincent’s biggest U.K. headlining show to date, as she packs into the 5,000+ capacity Eventim Apollo, the former Hammersmith Odeon. Why they ever changed that name is beyond me, but it’s been close to a decade of officially being called the Eventim Apollo, in all its inane infamy.

But this is all great: headlining shows, plenty of far-flung venues covered, getting to see a consummate entertainer like Clark. What’s the catch? Well, we’re going to have to wait a year. The dates are scheduled for June of 2022, meaning that we have eleven months to listen and re-listen to Daddy’s Home and decide whether we truly like it as much as Strange Mercy or not.
