The Quezon City local government plans to sue those who manage the app used by city residents to book the COVID-19 vaccination.
Complaints poured in from Quezon City residents who found it difficult to book with eZConsult, so Mayor Joy Belmonte gave the company an ultimatum to fix the system until Friday.
“We can file charges or damages … with the amount of headache they gave us,” Belmonte said.
“That’s why we took the system to be fast and efficient,” the mayor added.
The management of eZConsult from Zuellig Pharma explained that they had a problem with the website because those who wanted to book a vaccination were coming in one after another.
According to Zuellig, tonight Tuesday there will be a major enhancement, where they will change the system to accommodate the number of those who want to register.
The company also apologized to those who had difficulty booking a vaccination schedule and promised to do their best to fix the issue.
Meanwhile, in San Juan and Mandaluyong, the A5 priority group or the poor have also started to be vaccinated, so the vaccination of 2 cities in groups A1 to A5 at the same time.
San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora reminded members of the indigent population to bring ID and certificate from the barangay, which will be presented at the vaccination site.
In Pasay, the injection of the second dose of the vaccine will continue. Among the recipients were Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano and her husband.
The vaccination time in Manila was extended from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. as long as there are still COVID-19 vaccine doses left.
The government targets to vaccinate 58 million Filipinos before the end of the year.
At last record, only 1.8 million can be considered fully vaccinated or have received 2 doses of the vaccine.
