At Fleet Trades we have been up close and personal with the next-gen Ford Ranger Wildtrak, removing its existing tub from factory and fitting it with our popular Steel Tray powder coated in charcoal.
What makes the Wildtrak unique to the other models of the Ranger family? The Wildtrak boasts a unique front grille with a tough-look mesh surrounded by the Ranger’s new C-Clamp LED headlamps. The lower front is wider for a more signature look. The vehicle also features Boulder Grey 18-inch alloy wheels and a signature interior finish with Cyber Orange stitching and premium Satin Aluminium touchpoints.
Just when you thought the tough couldn’t get tougher, we’ve added a 1800mm Steel Tray to this magnificent machine. The Steel Tray features a 3mm thick checker plate floor, 2mm thick galvanised drop sides and tailgate and 75mm headboard pipe. This tray is made to handle the toughest of conditions.
As part of the tray conversion, the blind spot traffic/cross traffic sensors are removed from the rear taillights and relocated on custom brackets mounted on the standard factory towbar behind ABS plastic enclosures. This is great news for those owners that want to retain the factory fitted driving aids and preserve the majority of its functionality. The vehicle will still be able to detect when other vehicles are travelling in it’s blind spot and the cross traffic functionality will still detect other vehicles approaching as your reverse.
The reverse sensors are also removed from the rear bar and are relocated to the rearmost position underneath the tray body.
The reverse camera is removed from the pickup box tailgate with the associated loom and relocated underneath the number plate on the tray body. This process reuses factory sensors and associated wiring harnesses.
