Curry Hammock State Park
Curry Hammock State Park is a Florida Keys campgrounds located between Key Largo and Key West and perfect for those looking to explore uninhabited land in the keys. The over 1000 acer state park is the largest uninhabited land in the keys and is a protected mangrove swamp. From kite boarding, kayaking, beach access and hiking there is so much to do here.
The 28 site campground is all ocean view, and features composting toilets, solar powered showers, and is ADA friendly! All the sites have gravel area for cars or RV’s, and a sandy area ( perfect for tent camping) as well as picnic table, grill and 20/30/50 amp hookup. If you are tent camping avoid sites 3, 10-19, 21, 26 and 28 as they have no sandy area. Site 1 is ADA cmpliant. You can make reservations here which is highly recommend as they fill up early. Geiger Key Marina and Campground
Geiger Key Marina is one of the Florida keys RV parks, located 10 miles from downtown Key West. It feels as if you have been transported back in time when visiting this campground, with direct waterfront campsites with tables, wifi, laundry, showers, and boat slips all with full service hook up.
There is also a restaurant on site serving up fresh seafood and more. If you are camping here on a Sunday night, stop in for the Fish Camp BBQ dinner at 4 pm o Sundays. Bluewater Key RV Resort
Bluewater Key RV Resort is the place if looking for upscale camping in the Florida Keys. Located just north of Key West if you are looking or total relaxation with a heated swimming pool, a tropical oasis with tiki hut, large private sites, a clubhouse, dog park, public showers, a park and more this is the place to visit for the best of the Florida Keys RV parks.
All the sites are landscaped with tropical plants, and trees, and sites range in size from 35 feet to 80 feet, with 30 or 50 amp, sewer, cable and wifi, as well as private tiki huts and outdoor seating. If you choose a Bayfront or canal site they have private docks as well. Or you can use the community 200 foot dock.
As the name suggest this is a RV only park, with 24 ft minimum, Class A,B,C or 5th wheels and travel trailers. Stop by the office as they have a wide number of tours and activities that they suggest in the area.
Lazy Lakes RV Resort
Just 15 minutes north of Key West, you will find the perfect spot for camping in Sugarloaf Key. Lazy Lakes RV resort is a tropical oasis located on 28 acre featuring its own saltwater lake! And for those without car, the bus stop is right outside the resort on US1.
Amenities here include pool, laundry, fishing dock, clubhouse with pool table and more, fishing dock and wifi. Choose from 99 RV campsites with premium sites having 50 amp service, or pick a lakefront full hookup with 30 or 50 amp, and electric, sewer and water or a premium sites near the peninsula. While not beachfront, there is a beach close that you can visit.
Key Largo Kampground and Marina
Key Largo Kampground and Marina is one of the options for camping in Key Largo. Located on 40 acres of tropical paradise along the Atlantic Ocean in the dive capital of the world! The sites here include full hookup 50, 30 or 20 amp service, tent sites with electric and a private boat dock at mile marker 101.5.
There are two tent sized sites with electric, the normal and the deluxe extra large all of which are gravel, some fully shaded and some partially, and all include a grill and some include water views. The RV full hook up sites are for a max length of 40 feet, and offer a picnic table, as well as cable tv for longer rentals, and lastly you can get a full hookup with a boat slip.
You will feel safe here with a 24 hour security gate, wifi, laundry facilities, a playground, 2 bathhouses, a boat ramp with 14 slips and ice machine for those going out fishing or filling coolers, a clubhouse with actives, a general store, and is only one block from grocery store and shopping plaza and some of the best restaurants in Key Largo.
Fiesta Key Rv Resort and Marina
Fiesta Key offers options for camping in the Florida Key on a private 28 acre island resort. Whether you are looking forkful service RV sites, or you want to stay in one of the rentals or even the on-hotel this is a full service vacation destination.

Biscayne National Park
As a national park, camping sites are very inexpensive and include boat docking, but must be paid in cash with exact change. During the summer months of May 1 to September 1 all docking and camping fees are waived! So if you are looking or free camping in the Florida Keys head to Biscayne National Park. No reservations are allowed so sites are first come first serve, and tents can only be placed in designated areas.
Boca Chita Key Campground, is one of two campgrounds located in Biscayne Bay National Park. It is only accessible to those with boats, and no services are offered. Boca Chita is the most popular island featuring beautiful water view campsites, grassy campsites, picnic tables and grills. Not to worry toilet are available but no showers, sinks or water. You must all pack all trash out.
Elliott Key is the other of the Florida Keys campgrounds. This is the largest island in Biscayne National Park, and does offer camping with restrooms and cold water showers. Also drinking water is available but sometimes the pumping site does go down. There is also one group campsite in a private area, by reservation only!
Big Pine Key Resort
If looking for camping in Big Pine Key, you will want to check out Big Pine Key Resort which was formerly known as Big Pine Fishing Lodge or BPKFL located at mile marker 33. The perfect home-base for exploring lower and upper keys as it is located in the Middle Keys. Like with several of the other resorts that offer camping in the Florida Keys you have several options from RV sits, a motel, and rustic tent camping.
Big Pine Key Resort knows that the Florida Keys are known for outdoor recreation and as such offer heated swimming pool, a store with snacks and sundries, shuffleboard and billiards, nature trails, a boat ramp and fish cleaning station.

John Pennykamp State Park
John Pennykamp is another of the Florida Keys State Parks, and is located in Key Largo. This state park is located on a coral reef, and was the country’s first underwater sea park. You can enjoy this colorful underwater world by scuba diving or snorkeling or the glass bottom boat. The entry fee to the state park is $8 per car.
They offer tent and RV camping with full hook up and connections. The sites are all close together, everyone suggests reserving an even number for more space! They are inexpensive with views of the ocean and come with picnic tables. Sites on the east are shaded with trees, and there are two bath houses with laundry facilities.
Boyd’s Key West Campground
When it comes to Key West campgrounds, Boyd’s is known for offering the southernmost hospitality. Located at Mile Marker 5, since 1963 Body’s has been Florida Keys RV camping oasis. For over 55 years they have offered RV and tent camping.
Full service amenities include a pool and tiki hut, beach access, boat ramps and pavilions, kayak and paddle board rentals, game rooms, Body’s Boutique store, game room, a garden, wifi, bathhouse and laundry facilities. You can even dump for a $25 fee! As well a full activity calendar during the busy summer months.
Choose from full hook up waterfront RV sites, with 30/50 amp, picnic table, cable, concrete pad to inland sites, or choose from water and electric tent camping with your own bbq grill and picnic table, to primitive waterfront tent camping in a designated area with picnic tables that is backed up to the sea wall for privacy and unobstructed sunset views.
If you want to try camping, rent the 16 foot forest river travel trailer that sleeps a family of 4, ad comes with everything you could need. There is a three-night minimum perfect for a trial camping run.
Dry Tortugas National Park
Dry Tortugas National Park is worth the journey by tour, private boat or plane. Just 70 miles west of Key West this National park is made up of seven small island with the popular Fort Jefferson. Camping here is done on Garden Key, perfect for stargazing, enjoying nature, and exploring the water.
As with most national parks , Dry Tortugas is perfect for those looking for tent camping in the Florida Keys. All 6 person campsites are first come first serve with reservations NOT being accepted. As a remote location you should come prepared for primitive camping just a short walk from the public dock at Fort Jefferson. You can choose from any of the empty campsites and each offers a table and grill.
Campers should bring all their own supplies including water, food, fuel such as charcoal and be prepared to carry out your garbage. There are composting toilets but be warned they are closed from 10 am to 3 pm, and you can use commercial ferry during this time. There are no showers, wifi, electric hook up or cellular reception.
Jolly Roger RV Resort
Jolly Roger RV Resort is known as the destination for fun and adventure camping in Marathon Florida. Marathon is centrally located and the perfect option places to camp in the Florida Keys. This family run campground is located on 11 acres with over 160 large full service camp sites, most of which are shady and grassy. All RV sites are. 50 amp and include internet and cable.
Choose from premium oceanfront sits around the harbor, to seawall sites, interior or tent sites at the back of the park. For those who want the camping experience with the comforts of home there are two efficiencies that can be rented. A one bedroom unit upstairs, and a two bedroom unit downstairs. Featuring AC, two- burner stove, microwave, cooking supplies and TV.
Amenities here include a boat ramp, a tiki bar, showers, laundry, dog park, a heated pool with covered pavilions, fishing spots, and a designated swimming and snorkeling area that is roped off for use. As a member of Good Sam resort you can get 10% off here.
Long Key State Park
Long Key State Park is currently only offers tent camping in the Florida Keys. The entry fee into this park is $4.50 for one person, $5.50 for two, and $0.50 each additional person. They are open 365 days a year and are known as a haven for bird watching, kayaking and hiking of the nature on the Atlantic Ocean.
While Hurricane Irma damaged most of the full service campground, tent camping along the oceanfront is still offered. Here you will find a peaceful oasis nestled along the waterfront. You must hike to the sites as of now. Each site does offer a picnic table and grill, as well as cold water showers and restrooms. No electric or water hookups are available. Pets are also allowed here.
This State Park is perfect for those looking to disconnect and enjoy nature. Some of the best sports fishing can be done here ( with a license), as well as geo-seeing game, hiking the Golden Orb or Layton trail, or paddling along the shallow mangrove covered coast. And for those looking to stargaze the park has very little light!
Sunshine Key RV Resort
Sunshine Key RV Resort is one of the best options for camping in Big Pine Key. If you are looking for camping in the Florida Keys that offers access to a tropical playground this 75 acer island on Ohio Key is the place to go. Whether you are looking to just relax at the RV resort, fish or go explore Big Pine Key they offer it all.
From boat tours, to rentals for kayaks, stand up paddle boards, bikes, and fishing charters to watching the sunset over the Gulf of Mexico Sunshine Key RV park thinks of it all. Sugar Loaf KOA
If you are looking for options for camping in Key West, Sugar Loaf KOA will open July 2021 after a full renovation after Hurricane Irma. Like most of the resorts for camping in the Florida Keys, Hurricane Irma devastated the campgrounds and surrounding communities.
Sugar Loaf campground will offer guests a pool, hot tub, a poolside pub offering cocktails and other other beverages, a doggy camp for those traveling with pets, water front camp sites and a marina where boat rentals are offered if you want to explore. If you are not comfortable boating they offer stand up paddle boards, bikes, kayaks, fishing pools, coolers, and bait!
