Cirrus delivers 600th Vision Jet

SF50

Cirrus has just announced another landmark in its history – the delivery of the 600th Vision Jet. Pretty impressive, considering it’s the world’s first FAA-certified single-engine jet, which at one stage seemed to be lagging behind the Diamond and Piper jet projects (both of which taxied slowly into the sunset before ever coming to market). Since its launch in 2016, it has become the best-selling jet in general aviation.

Equipped with a full airframe parachute and Garmin’s Safe Return system, the SF50 seats up to seven people, cruises at 311 knots, and has a range of nearly 1,300 nautical miles (although not all at the same time). If you want a new one, expect to pay somewhere between $3 million and $3.5 million.

Zean Nielsen, CEO of Cirrus, commented: “We’re incredibly proud to deliver the 600th Vision Jet… This milestone is a reflection of the extraordinary dedication of our team, owners, and partners. The Vision Jet has redefined jet ownership, making it more accessible and simpler than ever, without compromising on performance or safety. As we look to the horizon, our commitment to making aviation more accessible, safer, and innovative remains steadfast.”
