They also offer higher surface protection against solvents, oil and moisture. There are no visible external bolts, for a cleaner look and easier installation and removal. Not Universal Fit; Requires Mounting Kit
Straight from Givi's web page for these sliders: "** Requires fitting kit SLD...KIT". There isn't a kit available for my CB500F, and when I asked Givi what they recommend, they suggested I return these sliders and get something specifically designed for my bike.
Labelling these as universal fit rather than telling people a kit is required is a huge oversight on Fortnine's part. These aren't long enough to offer any protection at all without a kit, so I would expect them to get a lot of returns on this product.
That aside, these seem like pretty nice sliders. The design is clever and visually appealing. If you can get a mounting kit for your bike, they're probably a good choice.

Looks good and I assume they will protect my bike if/when i lay it down at a slow speed. Just know the mounting brackets are sold separately. Why would they do this??
No more than 40 ft lbs when mounting these as they bolt into your engine block. Buy thread lock too.

It will, but you'll need this mounting kit to get it far enough out to do anything.
