Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little can Fits my saddlebags perfect, doesn’t take to much room and eliminates range anxiety. I put one in each bag. I had the triangle ones from JP Cycle but they don’t fit many saddlebags, they’re just a bit to big. These fit great and are cheaper (landed costs). Note; the spigot doesn’t fit in it so get a big Zip Lock bag for it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Extra tank welcome We do many trips in remote at times the route are impassable and we have to change roads or double back. Knowing we have enough fuel adds some comfort to the adventure. Used a set 2L fuel jugs for years. These fit in the same holder. At times I do used them on Giant Loop soft luggage, the bags have 2 drawstring pockets that hold the 2L perfect. The 2.5L is pretty tight to get in but will fit. I put a small cord around the jug from bottom to top so they can be extracted from the soft bag pocket with much less effort. At times also used the filler tube for adding oil to some bikes that have difficult locations to access.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great size, a Big fail on the spout Only 3 stars due to a simple fix. This fits my holder perfectly but the downside is that the spout does not collapse or could be shorter. As it is this has to be stored outside the container. Easily fixed

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Peace of mind Fits nicely in my Indian Roadmaster saddlebag. Great for peace of mind for an added 35 km or so in an emergency. I wish the spout could be stored in the tank itself, my only complaint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good size, good quality, great price! I bought this for an extra 50km of range for my Triumph Scrambler 1200 for an upcoming Alaska Trip in a couple weeks. I won't need the spout so won't take it. It straps onto my pannier well as the photos show. It is discreet and hardly noticeable. It is light and seems sturdy enough - good product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought 2, lost 1 Needed these for my Labrador / Newfoundland trip. Had them both filled and unfortunately, lost one around Manic Cinq. But neither one leaked.. and worked well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great It fits the side bag on my harley. 2.5 litres is maybe what will make me get to the next gas station. If the spout would fit inside the jerry can would be Nice, but personally I don’t use it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good size Have not used it yet, seems good quality though. Hopefully a future model of this tank will implement a way of storing the spout within the tank like a regular gas can

How big is the opening to pour the gas in and does it come with a spout? Thank you.

Asked by: KaperClaude
If what you are asking is will the nozzle fit into your gas tank with ease, I ride a Suzuki Boulevard and it fits into the gas tank easily. Yes it does come with a spout. I used to have a 1 liter bottle for spare gas but I like having a bit more gasoline than that and this gas can gives me that extra bit of insurance.

Is this DOT approved for fuel? The colour should be red for gasoline.

Asked by: Rydr
No, the Givi Jerry Can 2.5L (TAN01) is not DOT approved. It is homologated, meaning it is approved for use in certain conditions, but it is important to check if it meets the specific requirements for transportation of fuel in your region.
