Anybody got one?

In preparation for a camping trip last weekend, I was looking for a fixed blade that would bridge the gap between my usual Gerber EZ-Out and machete. Most of what's available here are cheap "survival" knives. I ran across this at an import store and decided to give it a try:

Cuchillos Muela: 85-160

Made in Spain, 6 1/4" blade, 9 oz, rubber grip. Feels great; I love the weight. Not a big fan of the gold.

At $56, it's the most expensive knife I've ever bought. :hillbilly: Looking at their website, this appears to be on the low end of their spectrum.

Very nice knife and looks like good stuff on there site. I don't have one of there's but I bought a knife called The Outback by: Down Under Knifes. Ridiculously expensive but solid as a rock and huge (if size matters).

as I look at your knife the words: "thats not a knife... Now THAT is a knife!" in an australian accent plays through my mind for some reason.

I picked up this model (#7122) 20+ years ago for about $30 and it's been one of my favorite camping knives. The cast handle is strong enough to pound tent stakes and the blade has maintained a good edge for many years.
