Who has sanded/wire wheeled, and painted their frame?
Just wondering what is the best paint to go with, as my 80 is currently going through an engine swap, so I might as well freshen it up.
Thanks.

Based on a recommendation from another Mud member, I coated my frame with Sherwin Williams Macropoxy 646 2-part epoxy. Search the forum for discussions on this.

Also, depending on the amount of rust, you may also want to use a needle scaler on parts of the frame to really get down to the metal.

I opted for POR15. I had the body raised to replace the body mounts and fit a new filler neck so I was able to get the top portions of the frame as well. The needle scaler was my favorite tool and well recommended.
