I somehow cannot find how to show cosmetic threads when attempting to create a drawing in the Fusion 360.
How is that done ?

Unfortunately this is not possible yet. It is high on our list for the update post November. I do understand how important this is.
Cool . Thanks for the update!
Did they implent the feature ?
Still can't find how to do it
Hi Guglielmo,
Cosmetic threads are not yet available. The work on this feature is wrapping up development and is targeted for the next major update. Once the feature is available you will be able to toggle "Thread Edges" On/Off in the View Properties dialog during view creation and edit.
Thanks,
Chris
What obout threads? November is long behind us. And threads nothing. This is very important for most constructions.
Understood!
Did you read the last post from cmiller in this thread that is not even 2 weeks old ?
Is this implemented? Cant find it... 😄
Hi lordgort86,
This setting is available in the Drawing View properties dialog:
With Hidden and Thread Edges on you should see the hidden representation in both the top and side views. Does that do it for you?
Thanks,
Chris
ooops didnt see that 😄
thanks
That does not work for me. I cannot get information about the thread. You have a nice dialog for making a thread:
Can you implement a feature where it extracts information like: Size, Designation, Class, Length and places it in the drawing? Inventor has a function of Hole and Thread in drawings and that is exactly what I need.
Thanks
Hi Skirmantas,
We do have plans to implement Hole and Thread Notes in Fusion Drawings, this feature is on the roadmap but there is still work to do to get the hole/thread information from the design into the drawing. Currently this information needs to be entered manually by placing a leader to the hole.
Thanks,
Chris
So more than 2 years ago I made the first post. As it may appear obvious, I don't use the drawing package in Fusion 360 very often.
Again, today I had the need to dimension a cross section of an internal thread and thought that surely 2 years later this would be fully implemented.
So when creating a thread in the model environment I can add all the necessary data but it it seems to still does not translate into the drawing environment. Off the two framed areas in the screenshot I can do one of them, but not both.
The screenshot was from Alibre Design where I was able to do this 6 years ago. I've used cosmetic threads in Solid Works 10 years ago and they are not exactly a new concept.
Hi nemet3d,
Re-reading this thread there are a few different issues being discussed here:
1. As originally posted, drawings could not display cosmetic threads in a drawing. That has since been implemented, so that is likely why this post was marked as Solved.
2. As part of the initial post, the hole/thread info from the design should be available in the drawing. That part is still T.B.D. Feature recognition work is in for some drawing elements (like sheet metal Bend IDs) but we still need to expand this to include hole/thread info. I do not have an E.T.A. on that, but we are definitely aware of the request and it's still on our roadmap.
Thanks,
Chris
@cmiller66, @schneik-adsk, can we also have a feature please that when a modelled thread is being inserted in the drawing it would simplify its graphics, i.e. I do not need the full helix shown in my drawing but only its simplified representation.

Simplified representation is made whenever the "Thread Edges" box is selected as shown in the post above.
Nix that, I did not realize that you stated modelled. (I do realize that you even underlined it...)
