"Zoom" reset

I accidentally zoomed in on my desktop and all of the folders got huge (then proceeded to turn two finger zoom off...). I tried getting back to the original zoom factor but I can't seem to get it where I like it. Is there some sort of reset size to OEM that I can do?

You just use CTRL + SCROLL DOWN (two fingers moving from the top of the trackpad to the bottom of it) to zoom out. As there is no option to make the screen smaller and getting black borders around the displayed GUI, the zoom will end at the right level.

But maybe you have to enable SCREEN ZOOM again with System Preferences > Universal Access.

If you zoom text and images and such within apps with cmd + + and cmd + –; you can reset the zoom level with cmd + 0 (see the View menu in the menu bar).

Ah, you talked about zooming content in applications.

I thought you meant SCREEN ZOOM with that short cut.

I'm talking about the trackpad zoom/shrink you can do within applications, including finder. Is that the same as CMD+/-?
