ROCHESTER, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) — Rochester Community Unit School District now has a new superintendent.
The district's Board of Education held a meeting Monday, Nov.11, to approve the hiring of Dan Cox as the new superintendent.
His new position will take effect beginning the 2020-2021 school year.
Cox earned a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Education from Milikin University, a Master's of Science in Education Administration from Eastern Illinois University, a Specialist Degree in Educational Adminstration from Eastern Illinois University and will complete a Doctorate in Educational Administration in June 2020.
He is the current superintendent of Staunton Community Unit School District 6 and brings 10 years of experience with him to Rochester schools, officials say.
