Inspirational Book Cover Design

I had the pleasure of designing this book cover for M.B. Roosa’s new inspirational book!

It’s a collection of funny, heart-warming, and challenging stories from her life and how God guided her through it all. You can pick it up on Amazon HERE.

For any book that I work on, I make sure to read the book in its entirety before starting any artwork. It’s important to me that I have a full picture of the writing and the author’s voice. So, after reading the novel, I created 4 different cover roughs for my client to choose from. I try to capture the essence of the book and also hit a look that appeals to the target audience.

M.B. Roosa instantly loved the first version with the fire, but asked if I could take the title text from the 3rd one. This turned out to be an easy cover to finalize. After combining those 2 covers, she approved right away!

After the front was done, then I took the styling and expanded it into the full wrap-around novel cover design. I also helped format her interior pages to make them print and Kindle ready.
