TCU begins construction on $40 million athletic facility expansion

All 22 athletic programs at TCU will utilize the facility to focus on mental health and well-being, including strength, nutrition, wellness, and restoration.

Construction on TCU’s $40 million Athletics Human Performance Center renovation and expansion kicked off last month.

Announced in 2022 with a gift of $10 million from the Jane & John Justin Foundation, the donor-funded project will benefit student-athletes in all 22 of TCU’s athletic programs by 2025. Here’s a look at what’s to come.

💪 Bob Lilly Performance Center

The renovation will include updates to the training facility with a studio for the women’s triathlon program, a yoga room, an outdoor warm-up area, and expanded space for free weights, cardio, and nutrition.

The new 10,000-sqft space will be a place for post-training treatment with state-of-the-art technologies designed to accelerate recovery and an emphasis on injury prevention.

The new football facility will include 20,000 sqft of strength and conditioning space, conference rooms, and technology centers that connect the Sam Baugh Indoor Practice Facility + Morris Practice Fields.
