SpongeBob TD Traits Tier List & Reroll Guide (EDITION) (January 2025)

By default, units in SpongeBob Tower Defense come with no traits and only basic stats. So to strengthen them, it is recommended to apply one of the eight traits to them. In this guide, we’ll provide you with a list of all the features in the game, including tips on how to get them back on track.

If you want to apply traits to your units in SpongeBob TD, then you need to talk to Sandy Cheeks NPC. Previously, he could be found within the Challenges area, but recently the developer moved this NPC into the Summons area.

Ranking Features
S Secret Formula, Vortex
A Wealth, Pursuit
B Scholar, Surge
C Reach out, Strike

S level: Most Overpowered Features

If you can get one of these traits for one of your mythic units, this will be the most powerful combo in the game. Of course, you can’t put both on one unit, so spread them between two of your strongest towers.

Features Drop Chance Effects
Secret Formula 0.5% Doubles the unit’s overall damage.
Vortex 1% Greatly increases a unit’s attack speed.

A-level: Very Useful Features

While damage and speed should be at the top of your priority list when rerolling for traits, upgrade cost and range will be just as important.

Features Drop Chance Effects
wealth 2.5% Reduces unit upgrade cost.
Pursuit 6% Greatly increases a unit’s range.

B-level: Decent Alternatives

Getting some of the most advanced features is very difficult, and you would have to buy a lot of reroll tickets. But if you get one of these alternatives, then you can be happy because they will be quite useful.

Features Drop Chance Effects
Scholar 12% Increases a unit’s XP gain.
An increase 26% Increases a unit’s attack speed.

C level: Starter Features

The following traits will drop most often, so you can freely change them for something better, since their buffs are insignificant. Save them only at the beginning of the game, and as soon as you can roll again, do not hesitate to replace them.

Features Drop Chance Effects
achievement 26% Slightly increases the range of a unit.
Strike 26% Slightly increases a unit’s damage.
