What is my USDA Hardiness Zone?

Sometimes called “growing zones,” hardiness zones refer to a map developed by the USDA that separates the United States into regions based on the average low winter temperatures. The USDA Hardiness Zone Map is the standard by which gardeners and growers can determine which plants are most likely to thrive at a location. The map is based on the average annual minimum winter temperature, divided into 10-degree F zones and further divided into 5-degree F half-zones.

5/7Worth the Investment
I have been so impressed with each delivery I've received. The packaging is superb, keeping the plants in a safe, healthy state during shipping. Each plant has been healthy and strong, transplanting and thriving. Every single plant I ordered and put in my garden last year, came back strong this year - acting every bit like a 3rd year plant. I love my 3 Little Bluestem plugs and can't wait to watch them grow next year. Absolutely worth the cost!

7/7Beautiful and Resilient!
I planted them this spring so no flowers yet but I did accidentally break the stem for two of the plants which had ALL the leaves. I thought the plant was a goner BUT it came back. The root system was strong even for the little plants and it is back to thriving again.

Buttonbush Doing Nicely
The only thing that arrived still well packaged with the dirt where it belonged, around the roots!
Garden for Wildlife by National Wildlife Federation
We are so glad to hear your shrub arrived safely! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

Product arrived in wonderful condition
The shrub was wonderfully packaged when it arrived and in good condition. It had good root mass. When we forgot to water for a few days after planting, some leaves died back, but, once we got back to regular watering and removed the dried leaves, it immediately began putting out new leaves. I would order from Garden for Wildlife again!

Button bushery
My plant came in great condition, planted it and it's doing well in my yard. I can't wait for it to get larger and add to my local ecosystem by helping pollinators, birds and other small animals. I love this organization and will purchase more in the future. I will always find room in my yard.
