Hilltop Packs ECOPAK Roll Top Fanny Pack

Hilltop Packs ECOPAK Roll Top Fanny Pack

I’m a huge fan of this pack.  Since I got it, its become an essential piece of gear for me.  The beautiful part of it is that it has an almost universal mounting system. I’m sure when I get a new backpackpack, I’ll be able to add it right on.

ALPS Mountaineering Hex 2 Backpacking Tent

There’s a reason ALPS Mountaineering has carved out a niche in the Scouting community.  They provide durable gear at an attractive price point, perfect for Scouting families.  The Hex 2 is no exception.  Its not the lightest backpacking tent on the block, but what it lacks in weight savings, it makes up for in durability and price.  Overall, I’m a fan.  This is definitely going with me to Philmont next year.

This system hits a nice, sweet spot between functionality and durability.  While its not ideal for a backpacking trip, the versatility of the Peak Series filter gives it an edge.  It is perfect for a Basecamp, RV or a family emergency preparedness kit.
