The final installment in the Romancing Manhattan series is here and I definitely wasn't prepared! I wasn't prepared to swoon so hard with Carter's sweet words and gestures. I wasn't prepared for the awesome girl's night between London, Sienna & Nora. I wasn't prepared to be gutted by Darcy's letters and I certainly wasn't prepared for that epilogue, but I loved every single moment of it nonetheless. ❤

    After All, wraps up the Romancing Manhattan series in just the best way possible. I knew I was going to love finally getting Carter and Nora's story but I didn't realize it would be one of the best books I've read in 2020. I had to go back and read it again because I wasn't quite ready to let it go haha.

    This is the story of Carter Shaw who is a lawyer in a law firm with the Cavenaugh brothers and his loyal and irreplaceable executive assistant Nora. Nora has been a vital part of Carter's life. She's always there for him at work and helping him with his daughter Gabby. After they are stranded at the office one night thanks to a snowstorm. They begin to see each other in a whole new way.

    And oh how I love that whole new way hahaha. The chemistry between Carter and Nora is phenomenal. I really enjoyed the way they made an office romance work. (The Dickinson File is just the best). Also, I love that Nora already had such a close relationship with Gabby outside of being in a relationship with her father. That made for such a stronger and more emotional storyline.

    After All was a fantastic read. If you've read the first two books in the series then you know Carter's relationship to the Cavanagh family. He has been through a lot in the last couple of years and it was time for Carter to get a little happiness. And that happiness was in the form of Nora. Their romance was just heartwarming. I enjoyed seeing their relationship grow as I read. It was a right mix of sweet and alluring. Carter's daughter Gabby added a special layer to the story. I also loved the interactions with the first two couples in the series: Finn and London and Quinn and Sienna as well as Maggie (the matriarch of the family). Overall this was a heartfelt and lovely about two broken people finding their one and becoming part of a charming family. I've enjoyed every Kristen Proby story and this was no different. A terrific read!

    What an amazing book! The series was wonderful but, Nora and Carters story is the absolute BEST! I loved the interaction between Nora and Carter. The communication system in a “no frat” office is the best! Gabby’s preteen angst was right on the money. (Having a 12 year old boy has just as much angst as a girl, believe me! He is my fourth 12 year old so I know the emotions and the drama that come up! )

    Nora and Gabby had a great relationship before there was a Carter and Nora so easing Gabby into Carter and Nora as a couple should have been easy. Nope! As usual, kids throw a kink into a relationship. Nora listens and Gabby, after a few tantrums understand.

    I love the letters that Darcy left for the future. Every person who was given a letter received it at the right time! Maggie, Darcy’s mom knows and she’s the one who distributes letters when it’s time!

    Now, the ending? It was perfect! Having Maggie narrate the ending brought that central character to the place she needed to be! Maggie was instrumental in all the series relationships so who better to tell us what’s happening at the end
