This is the second book in the With Me In Seattle Mafia series and one again Kristen does not disappoint!! I've been anticipating Shane and Ivie's story since reading Underboss and especially after that ending.From the first chapter to the last this story had me hanging on every word with suspense, intrigue and of course all kinds of explosive chemistry. Shane Martinelli has secrets, ones he can't divulge to anyone especially the woman he's enamoured with and had now sworn to protect. Ivie Jordan is the sweet, strong and somewhat clumsy woman that is ready to take on Shane Martinelli in more ways than one. When these two are thrown together because of Ivie's past and Shane's need to protect her the sexual tension builds and the sparks fly!This book was nothing short of INCREDIBLE and one I didn't want to end! Kristen Proby has proven she can write just about anything and turn it into UNPUTDOWNABLE PERFECTION!! If you haven't started this series I highly recommend you grab it now!

    Headhunter is the 2nd book in the Wait With Me in Seattle Mafia Series. It can be read as a standalone but it’s an intertwined series with previous characters. This is Shane and Ivie’s story. They both have secrets, living double lives. It lead to lies, deceptions, hard truths, and a roller coaster full of plot twist that you won’t see coming. This book is suspenseful full of action, push, pull, romance. Spice and action. Shane and Ivy have been friends, fighting feelings. Shane’s lifestyle as a covert operative puts everyone in danger. But when the women he loves is in trouble he jumps on the chance to hunt down the bad guys and save her. He becomes the alpha protective hero who only shows Ivie how he truly feels, and things get heated. We follow them along as they try to solve who is after Ivie, and also trying to harm the Martinelli family in the process. This world Kristen created just keeps getting better. And, I loved getting updates on Nadia and Carmine and also the Martinelli brothers. Great read and listen.

    Headhunter is the second book in the new mafia series from Kristen Proby and centers on Shane and Ivie who were introduced in book one. The story is fast-paced, and the action begins right away with Ivie being kidnapped. Ivie at first comes across as being very timid, but it quickly becomes evident that she is much stronger than she appears.

    Shane is not the person he seems to be on the surface either. He has been working as a government assassin for years and hiding that side of himself from his brothers. He keeps his home separate from the rest of the family and maintains it as a fortress. This puts him in a good position to keep Ivie safe from those who wish her harm. I like that he wanted her to learn to handle firearms and how to defend herself so she would not be so vulnerable again. The two also clash over what they each consider to be safety precautions and the sparks soon fly.

    The things I like best about Kristen Proby’s books are the strong family ties and the fierce female friendships. Those themes are both very evident here and although I consider this to be more mafia lite, the family dynamic comes over as the most important thing to the brothers. Family first, always, and family is not necessarily bound just by blood. The female characters are strong, smart and extremely loyal to one another. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

    The second in Kristen's With Me In Seattle Mafia series, this book focuses on Shane Martinelli and Ivie Jordan. Shane is an ex-not so ex-special operative. We get a glimpse of his secret job in the beginning. We also learn that Ivie has her secrets as well.

    Not only do we get to see Nadia, Annika, Carmine, and Rafe (Rocco) but we also meet Shane's friend and employee, Curt and get to see the older generation of Martinellis and Tarenkovs.

    I'm kind of hoping for a Curt book. He's a mystery who deserves a HEA. But in the meantime, we get some Annika and Rocco soon!!

    This was another wonderful read and addition to the With me in Seattle Mafia story. Loved getting to know Shane and Ivie and catching up with Carmine, Nadia, Annika and Rafe. Getting to see the workings of the mafia and family is great. Ivies background came back to find her and Shane helped her and you got to learn more about Shane and his background. they got to see if they had a future together. Kristen Proby never disappoints with a great story and I could not put this down. I can’t wait to read Rafe and Annika story.

    I absolutely loved the instant attraction between these two. The sexual chemistry is off the charts. Shane may think he doesn’t derive love but the undeniable attraction he has to Ivie is not something he can let go of. When circumstances allow him to rescue her he takes his opportunity and protects her with everything her has. Ivie tried to always ignore the attraction with a man as beautiful and charming as Shane because why would he want to be with someone so plain as her. She loved him from afar and when he took it upon himself to protect her with his life she could no longer deny the attraction they had for one another. I loved the deep love these two have for one another, the way he lifts her up and gets her to believe in herself and that he loves her for who she is. She gives him the chance to see that life is beyond the job and that he can have his forever love! Such a fantastic love story built on strength and love. Family doesn’t alway mean you share the same blood........

    You got a taste of this book at the end of the first one..... I knew that the story for Shane & Ivie would be interesting and I wasn’t disappointed. This story hit the ground running and just kept on going, the story keeps you gripped and has plenty of twists and turns that you don’t know what’s going to happen next.

    I loved this story and getting to learn more about Shane and the work he does I can’t wait for more from this family.
