Many Alabamians enjoyed the snow that Old Man Winter brought to portions of the Yellowhammer State. The winter storm system, named Cora by The Weather Channel, is now “pushing its last snows through the East after bringing a southern wintry mess.”
Depending on your location, you either got a light dusting of snow or a winter wonderland, even if it melted a few hours later. The Weather Channel reports that “the heaviest storm total so far is 14.3 inches in Mena, Arkansas.”
The Tuscaloosa County EMA said, “While no major issues have been reported if you need to travel, use caution as black ice may still be present—especially in shaded areas or spots with poor drainage.”
