The Modesty and Majesty of Being : Poems to Inspire and Introspect

Rate this book
Even the brightest of stars had a humble beginning as clouds of dust and gas. Along with being majestic, the star is also quite generous with its light. Even the best of the flowers that graces gods was once a small seed in the earth. While holding the most honorable place, the flower is also modest enough to spare its fragrance for everyone around. There is this duality in everything we see around us. The elements of nature, the universe and even phenomenon like love have the quality to be modest and majestic at the same time. The same duality is often reflected in all of us, binding us even closer to the universe and nature than we realize.

The Modesty and Majesty of Being is a collection of poems that explore this idea through various standpoints. The book is divided into four sections dedicated to the modesty and majesty in us, nature, the universe, and love.

"Dhaval Rathod's 'The Modesty and Majesty of Being: Poems to Inspire and Introspect' is a literary treasure, boasting a carefully curated collection of exquisitely penned verses.

This eloquent volume is thoughtfully divided into four distinct parts, each delving into a unique facet of existence: the Human Experience, the Vast Universe, the Wonders of Nature, and the Complex Realm of Love.

In the initial section, Rathod offers readers a candid and profound glimpse into the intricacies of our inner selves. The second part transports us to the breathtaking landscapes of nature, capturing its grandeur in words. The third part embarks on a captivating journey through the cosmos, unraveling its enigmas and marvels. Finally, the last segment of the book navigates the labyrinthine depths of human emotion, focusing on love in all its forms.

Dhaval Rathod's mastery of poetic expression is evident throughout, making it my inaugural encounter with his work, and I am now eager to explore his entire literary repertoire.

Personally, I found the second theme, which celebrates the beauty of nature, to be particularly enchanting, leaving me mesmerized by the strength and resonance of each verse. Such was the power of these poems that I needed three full days to savor and contemplate their profound messages. It is a privilege to share my review of this book, and I find it impossible to single out a handful of favorite poems when the entire collection is a masterpiece. For anyone with an appreciation for poetry, 'The Modesty and Majesty of Being' is an essential addition to your reading list.

I wholeheartedly recommend it!

The poetry is thoughtfully organized into four sections: Being, Universe, Nature, and Love. Rathod's writing style is characterized by its simplicity and clarity, making it easily accessible to readers.

What stands out most prominently in this collection is the author's exceptional mastery of language. Rathod wields words like a skilled artist wielding a paintbrush, creating vivid and detailed word-paintings of the world.

The book is structured into four distinct sections, each dedicated to exploring different aspects of our existence: modesty and majesty within ourselves, the wonders of nature, the vastness of the universe, and the profound theme of love. These poems showcase Cummings' remarkable talent for lyrical expression, playful wordplay, technical finesse, and his deep well of compassion, all of which have earned him the admiration and respect of both critics and poetry enthusiasts. They exemplify his ability to both adhere to and diverge from traditional poetic structures, weaving a unique tapestry of rich imagery and precise artistry. Each volume is meticulously edited, accompanied by comprehensive textual notes and commentary, and features a contextual, illustrated introduction that delves into critical reception and performance history. The author's words are truly inspiring and universally relatable, transcending geographical and cultural boundaries.

One stanza from the poem 'MY UNIVERSE' particularly resonates with me:

"There are stars that never hide,
and there are hearts that love with pride.

There is the moon that never fades,
and rainbows with a million shades.

The author's writing style, while elegantly simple, possesses a captivating allure that enhances the reading experience. The book's cover design and font choices further enhance its overall appeal, making it a truly satisfying literary journey.

Wishing you a delightful and enriching reading experience! ❣️

First of all the appreciation for beautiful cover that will grab your attention at first look , as well as unique name of the book go well with the cover.

The book revolves around various poetries on various aspects like nature , love , women , imperfect world, and so many

Its divided between 4 parts -
1. The modesty and majesty being
2. The modesty and majesty nature
3. The modesty and majesty universe
4. The modesty and majesty love

All these parts have different poetries based on different aspects.

My favourite quote " it is to reward even those , who lose with honor and pride " from poem The Unmistakable Law - telling us that even those who lose we should reward them with honor and pride and why not ?

Even people lose , they tried hard to win , they were loyal to thier lose then why not reward them too ? - such a deep thought this poetry includes.

Poetry She from the first section - talking about women's strength, a woman is lioness, fierce and world try to put them in cage.

Poetry Wings - is something will inspire you that no matter what people says , never doubt your wings , just let it go and fly.

So many poetries in the book that inspired you in many ways , putting the heartfelt truth of the world.

Its like author himself singing these poetries while writing it.

What a collection of poetries - poetry lovers this is for you definitely.

FAB-BOOK REVIEW OF "The Modesty and Majesty Of Being," by Dhaval Rathod.

Rating: 4/5

"The Modesty and Majesty of Being," by Dhaval Rathod, is a simple yet beautiful poetry read. I love poetry so much, be it reading or writing. Poetry is my comfort zone, and sometimes I want the poetry books to be difficult to read and, on the other hand, easy to read. So, I read poems that are both easy and difficult to read.
.

This book is a beautiful collection of poems divided into different categories, which are the following:
The Modesty and Majesty in Us,
The Modesty and Majesty in Nature,
The Modesty and Majesty in the Universe
The Modesty and Majesty in Love.

I love reading anything that is about Nature and Love. The writing in the book is easy, and the language is lucid, so even if you are a beginner, you can read this book as the language is not advanced. There are a few lines and poems that I loved in this book which are the following:

• "Why do we hesitate to give
where there is no scope to receive?"

• "If I kept giving to the heartless,
what could I expect in return?"

•"You are the moon
poets obsess about."

"It is Okay to Let Go, and Cracks" are the two poems I loved reading, there are a few more poems I loved reading in this book, these two are at the top of the list. Overall, a simple and easy poetry book with a pretty cover page(ofc, I had to mention this)🥹❤🫂

Contained within this book are numerous poems that delve into this concept. The book is structured into four distinct sections: the universe, love, and nature. Each section is dedicated to exploring the dual qualities of modesty and majesty that reside within us.

I must take a moment to applaud the exquisite cover of this book. The gradual transition of colors, known as the ombré effect, truly captivated me. Its aesthetic allure was the very reason behind my decision to acquire this book.

Among the many poems within, there are a handful that have become my personal favorites:

• Fate
• Grand Prize
• A Raindrop

Within each category lies a collection of exquisite poems that effortlessly resonate with their readers. What sets this book apart is its utilization of simple language and beginner-friendly words, making the poems easily accessible. The topics span a wide spectrum, encompassing emotions such as love, nature's beauty, self-esteem, procrastination, betrayal, trust issues, and an array of other feelings we encounter in our daily lives.

The poet's skillful descriptions of stars, skies, trees, the sun, the moon, and more, are truly captivating. Despite their brevity, these poems carry profound and touching meanings that tug at the heartstrings.

It skillfully delves into both the inner and outer dimensions of our existence, leaving readers with profound reflections and heartwarming sensations.

The language employed is effortlessly understandable, yet it possesses the power to evoke a myriad of emotions. Expressing my feelings while reading these poems is a challenge because it was an experience filled with intense emotions that compelled me to share some with my book club companions.

Moreover, I believed they warranted discussion due to the poems' subtlety and their ability to address what readers truly need to hear. This sentiment was shared by both me and a few of my friends. My primary takeaway, or rather what I sensed the author aimed to convey, is that life is a tapestry of highs and lows, and our task is to acknowledge, process, and embrace these fluctuations while navigating them with the best of our abilities in the present moment.

The rest, beyond our control, will fall into place. These poems elegantly encapsulate and communicate emotions that are often challenging to articulate.

Each poem captivated me with its unique allure and resonated with my personal experiences.

I hold deep admiration for the author's work and eagerly anticipate delving further into their literary creations.

A great collection of so many attracting and one of the most thinkable poems I've ever read. The sequence of the poems itself make the book hooked-up in the mind of reader, and just when I started I just thought to read 5-10 pages on the day, though ended up at some twenty poems.

A great experience of observing the own and the world's in one's perspective if wrote om some text, must need to be read once.
A straight beam of inspiration I've got after reading the poems I've got is just like a source of energy gave me a lot for being more effective.

One of the phrase I remember..
"Awaken me from my lonely grave,
And take me down that road you paved.
You sure have mighty oceans to save,
But for once, bless this unworthy wave."
Is just suspicious and might be relatable to a huge crowd and so do every poems embedded here.
The part of the book when it intact you to think yourself, will give you an opportunity to think, and might opens some more universes in your mind.

I'd like to begin by expressing my admiration for the enchanting cover of the book.

It truly possessed an ethereal quality, perfectly capturing the essence of what lay within.

This visual allure was my initial attraction to the book. Now, delving into the poetry itself, I find myself in a state of ambivalence. Some of the poems resonated deeply with my heart, immersing me completely in their verses.

This emotional connection led me to discover numerous favorites among them. The poet exhibited a remarkable ability to articulate intricate emotions, seamlessly intertwining the complexities of the universe with the intricate fabric of human thoughts and feelings.

Many of these poems I found utterly captivating. However, it's important to note that not all the poems maintained this level of significance throughout. Some started with promise but seemed to lose their way along the poetic journey.

A few, regrettably, failed to evoke the true essence of poetry for me.

In sum, I found this collection of new-age poetry to be a compelling experience. Its use of simple words to convey profound thoughts offers a welcome respite when life's intricacies become overwhelming.

Comprising four distinct sections, each imbued with its unique theme, "The Modesty and Majesty of Being" enchants readers with its collection of 166 exquisitely crafted poems. This poetry anthology delves into the concept from various perspectives, dividing itself into the realms of nature, the universe, love, and the modesty and majesty inherent within us. The poet's true linguistic prowess shines when they intricately weave the complexities of the universe with the intricate tapestry of human ideas and emotions. While I'd love to mention all the poems that resonated deeply with me, some within this collection, though strong at the outset, seem to lose their way, hindering the full appreciation of the poetic essence. Nevertheless, this book is a compelling testament to how great things often commence from humble beginnings. With references to the natural elements, these verses eloquently elucidate the gradual ascent and inherent humility that culminate in grandeur. For any poetry enthusiast yearning to be transported to a realm of beauty, wonder, and profound emotion, this book is an absolute necessity.
