Jag ville springa i gräset och sjunga högt. Jag ville bo på en jord där barnen skrattade och ingen var tvungen att gömma sig.
Jag avundades dem och tänkte Vad ni är lyckliga som fötts som fåglar och har er frihet - se vad vi människor gör mot varandra.
I Rwanda har alla medlemmarna i en och samma familj olika efternamn. Föräldrarna ger varje barn ett unikt efternamn då barnet föds. Namnet återspeglar vad mamman och pappan kände då de såg sitt lilla nyfödda barn.
Även om det fastnade både små grenar och jord på kläderna och ryggen värkte då jag vaknade så älskade jag att ligga och titta på stjärnorna innan jag somnade — det var som att avsluta dagen med att se in i Guds ansikte.
