Three stars for the hot cover and having finished it. Bad Daddy felt like watching porn. Naughty, arousing and easily forgettable.

I had two very separate reactions to this book.
First half: Holy hot daddy kink, Batman!
On her first day of college, Violet meets her roommate's hot daddy named Heath and it's instalust time for the both of them. There's a little fighting of that taboo, mostly on Health's part. When they do come together, its pretty damn smokin' hot. I'm always here for some good smut. He's such a bad daddy and she's a very naughty girl.
Second half: LOL, what? Jeez. Okay...
Once the plot made an appearance I could NOT stop rolling my eyes. For real, I'm a bit surprised they didn't get stuck inside my skull. Everything happened extremely fast. There wasn't enough time to digest one crazy thing before the next happened. And the next and the next and the next. It was too much for me. I wanted more sex, less rush to the finish line.
I was stoked to read this, but I'm pretty "meh" about it. Glad to see others are really enjoying it, though. I think I'm not so much into these taboo themes all ending with HEAs. It just pulls me out of the dirtiness... and I like being dirty.

Even if i felt like the story was a bit rushed, especially at the end, i can't complain because it gave me all the right emotions, and the unexpected twist towards the end added a bit of needed angst.
This book was so easy to read I didn't even notice time passed, and that's exactly what i want from a book!!
I love heavy big books but sometimes i really need this kind of reads because for a couple of hours i forget everything and just enjoy the story ....
So yeah it's a book you should read.

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed this

When an author writes a treat like this that is hot from page one but also makes the story not come off as porn on paper, that needs to be praised highly! She was a naughty girl and he was a dirty man and it was as taboo as it gets, but also romantic! Stories like these are my jam! When an author writes a treat like this that is hot from page one but also makes the story not come off as porn on paper, that needs to be praised highly! Too many times authors don’t get this right and it’s a shame because when they do get it right as this author did, it is explosive and deliriously sexy!

Again ... first things first. Shall we discuss the cover? I mean I’m obviously gaga over him because he’s yummy. But those colors are killer, very eye catching. I love the whole package.
Violet and Hazel? I see someone likes colors. What other names can we add to this rainbow? Heath? Not Sage or Cyan?
Can’t say it’s every day we discuss a girl looking down a guy’s shirt but yeah. I’m all for it.

This is my first book by J.D. Hollyfield and will definitely not be the last.
Violet is such a beautiful young woman and when she meets her new roommates father there is immediate and intense attraction. Heath is an older man and feels this attraction also but does not act on it until Violet forces his hand.
This story had everything, the ups and downs, emotional surges and such exquisite passion.
I can't wait to read Sweet Little Lies!

I've recently discovered my love of daddy kink, and y'all, this is one of the HOTTEST books I've ever read. Seriously, I had to stop in the middle to go get my husband. It was that fucking hot.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Violet and Heath are naughty and so forbidden, but of course that's what makes this so delicious. Heath is the dad of Violets new roommate, and right away you can *feel* the sizzling attraction. Heath tries to fight it at first, but Vi is just as domineering as he is (in the best of ways) and totally went after what she wanted, which I totally loved. She wasn't this simpering, quite wallflower who just came upon a naughty situation, but she despite her age, she was bold and took exactly what she wanted. And even though this is a short, fast paced novella, you still feel the emotional connection between her and Heath as well! I can't wait to see what the next book brings!!

Well.... I just don't know what to say...
This is a quick read. In some ways, a little too quick. I was sad to see it end. Like other short novels/novellas, I would have liked to have had more meat and potatoes in this book. With that being said, I still loved this book.
This one is a HAWT, dirty, fast read. It left me feeling... well, yeah. This book was pretty hot!
Now, I have to wait a few weeks for the second part of this duet. It's going to be a long, excruciating few weeks. I want more!

Bad Daddy by J.D. Hollyfield is all about reckless indulgence and sinful abundance. It was the kind of filthy taboo that is for only the sinners. So unbelievably dirty and perverted and delcious.
Violet feels this magnetic attraction to her roomate's father Heath Winters since the first visit. It takes some time to act on her impulses as she wasn't sure about his reactions. But he also wants her. But this is wrong and dangerous and forbidden.
This story is super hot. I am surprised that my device didn't burn to ashes. Violet had a fatherless upbringing and her mother didn't care for her really. So she wanted the protection and dominating care of someone. And Heath gave her that. Beyond physical connection. He has a man of special tastes in bedroom but he cherishes and honours Violet all the time. They had some drama and complications because their relationship is hard to accept for Hazel, Heath's daughter. But it did work out finally. This was a short and super steamy read for the occasions when you are looking for something smutty and taboo.

Not For Me, But My Fault
Well, I really don't know what I was thinking when I took this book for review. One of my sexual buckets of ice water is the term Daddy and boy was it used in the story of Heath and Violet. Hence, the title. Dumb me.
J.D. Hollyfield gives her readers a handsome and sexy older man that has a bit of a kinky side. While we don't know what his deal is at first, the minute he sees the young and beautiful Violet, it's game on. She's a tease, he's a man, that's all there really needed to be between these two.
The book is well written and while I'm not a fan of this genre, I did appreciate the aspect of getting caught in the storyline. There was some nice angst waiting for that other shoe to drop page after page. Bad Daddy is a quick read that packs quite the punch when it's all said and done. There is a second book featuring Heath's young daughter Hazel, however I'm kind of over the master thing too. That said, it seems that there will be quite the storyline attached, so who knows!

I can't say I'm a huge fan of daddy kink but J.D. Hollyfield is making me want to be one. This book is dirty and sexy. Heath and Violet make me feel like I need a shower after reading. While the plot took second place to the sexiness of this book it was still there. Bad Daddy is a quick, steamy read that will leave you need a cold shower and more of Hollyfield's words. This book did not disappoint.

This book was something, alright. I wanted to punch Heath for the way he was treating Violet before the secrets were out and after. I wished he was confident and brave enough to except his own feelings. Even though he was all alpha in the bedroom, the way he was treating Violet only restraint me from liking him. And I really wanted to. My heart was breaking for Violet. Heck, I cried for all the cruel words towards her and she really deserved better. I really wished she was strong enough to leave Heath and started over with someone more worthy. I don't even care if Heath regretted the way he behaved or not which he apparently did. Meh! Whatever! I loved his possessiveness though. Ugh. This book would've been a five star if only he was a bit gentle with her feelings. Because he never thought about the impact of his harsh words. Although not that there were much of an impact given the fact that Violet melted each time he said sorry or even gave her an ounce of attention after days and days not talking to her as she didn't really have much of a self-respect.
Every woman deserves respect. What they don't need is a guy who would abandon them when they need for him to support and respect her as well as love her.
Hazel's reaction made sense but not the hurtful words she said. Anyway, the smut was pretty good. Yeah, I would say an emotional sorta okay-ish read.

Bad Daddy is book one in JD's new Dirty Little Secret Duet, and OMG, does it deliver on the naughty! If there is one thing that gets my heart racing, it's the taboo, and Bad Daddy has it in spades.
Violet is a first year college student, eager to do well in school. She meets her sweet roommates smoking hot dad Heath first, and in a very unusual way. Sparks fly immediately, and you just know that these two are going to be explosive.
What makes this story so fantastic, is that coupled with the steam is a super fast pace, and a touch of the suspense that JD likes to through in. That always makes it exciting.

Bad Daddy is book one in JD's new Dirty Little Secret Duet, and OMG, does it deliver on the naughty! If there is one thing that gets my heart racing, it's the taboo, and Bad Daddy has it in spades.
Violet is a first year college student, eager to do well in school. She meets her sweet roommates smoking hot dad Heath first, and in a very unusual way. Sparks fly immediately, and you just know that these two are going to be explosive.
What makes this story so fantastic, is that coupled with the steam is a super fast pace, and a touch of the suspense that JD likes to through in. That always makes it exciting.

When trying a new author I like to read a current release and some of their older content. This title of course screamed to my Daddy Kink Loving Heart.
I really did enjoy this book. It was sexy forbidden and all things I want when going for Daddy Kink Romance. I really liked Heath his struggle of crossing the line with his daughter’s college roommate was just the angst this story needed. Violet was a woman with a goal. She was not going to let go of her pursuit of Heath.
This was a fast and sexy read. I was all in for it. This book is a great age-gap, Daddy kink, and smutty read. If you enjoy the forbidden than you should absolutely give this title a try.
This story is plot lite. There is also a obsessed/stalker like character in the story. It is not very dynamic and could have been left out.
