And now she’s here. At the Belle’s Midnight Ball. Offering herself up to be mine… For the next three months at least.

About the author

Stasia Black

62 books1,828 followers
Stasia was born in Georgia, grew up in Texas, recently spent a freezing five-year stint in Minnesota, and now is happily planted in sunny California, which she will never, ever leave.

She loves writing, reading, listening to podcasts, and has recently taken up biking after a twenty-year sabbatical (and has the bumps and bruises to prove it). She lives with her own personal cheerleader, aka, her handsome husband, and their teenage son. Wow. Typing that makes her feel old. And writing about herself in the third person makes her feel a little like a nutjob, but ahem! Where were we?

Stasia’s drawn to romantic stories that don’t take the easy way out. She wants to see beneath people’s veneer and poke into their dark places, their twisted motives, and their deepest desires. Basically, she wants to create characters that make readers alternately laugh, cry ugly tears, want to toss their kindles across the room, and then declare they have a new FBB (forever book boyfriend).

3.5... maybe 4 stars.

I really liked Rafe Jackson. Fallon Perry was the strongest and less cowering of the Belles so far, in my opinion. Rafe was never supposed to be the one with the initiation into the depraved secret society that his family has been involved in for generations. It was to fall on his brother, but circumstances change and he is thrown into the deep end.. and he wants it though. He will not fail.

His worse nightmare comes true when he sees his childhood friend in the line of Belles. He refuses to pick her. To willingly make her endure the trials that he and his Belle will have to suffer through. He doesn't know everything that goes on behind the mansion walls, but he knows enough that he needs to save her from that fate.

The choice is taken from him again --- he and his best friend are thrown into the lion's den.
What the Belles go through is beyond wicked and vile. Creepy old men and rituals that reek of old money and privilege. Fallon was so brave and never gave up. Rafe could barely keep it together with some of the acts that Fallon had to be put through.

All for what? For money? For a company? For family acceptance? To be a pillar of the community that others know and revere? Is it worth it? The humiliation, the degrading, losing yourself and all you stand for.

Opulent Obsession is the third interconnected installment in the Breaking Belles series, featuring the dark secret society romance of Rafe Jackson & Fallon Perry. His turn has come, an initiation into a secret society he was never supposed to take part in.....a claim to a birthright that was his brother’s. His penance comes in the form of a girl from his past, the one he never got over. He refuses to let them break her, she refuses for them to fail this initiation. She’s there to take what’s owed to her, she has no time for the guy who left her in the past. But Rafe Jackson doesn’t give up that easy, and he intends to not only claim his place in the Order but also claim her as well.

Maybe he really was the devil, because he’d always tempted me beyond all reason and sanity. I’d drop everything for the chance at even a moment with him, no matter how fucked up the circumstances.

This is one of those series I anticipate the releases for, not that I expect anything emotionally deep or beautifully complex....I know each installment is always going to be both deliciously steamy & highly entertaining. Rafe & Fallon’s story was everything I expected it to be, a solid read that I kept me invested in this series and the world these ladies created. Secret society, strong badass heroines, sexy powerful men, and a twist that may have been slightly predictable but nonetheless pretty damn genius? All the reasons to read this book, but there were some issues as well, we will get into those coming up.......

“Your family kept me down my whole fucking life. I’m not going to let any Jackson tell me what I can or cannot do ever again.”

My Thoughts:
The Good:
Rafe & Fallon: Both main characters were interesting and likable, although I did find myself more drawn to Rafe in this one. In keeping with the tradition of strong resilient heroines, Fallon is the strongest of them all thus far. They both have backstories to tell, stories that add an extra element that only enhanced the overall read.

The Plot: This one was my favorite of the 3 currently out, I felt like they went a step further to give it an extra layer of magic the others lacked. From their shared history, Rafe’s personal struggles with guilt & identity, the mystery surrounding Fallon’s “place” within that world....I really enjoyed it.

Support Characters: I was really excited to see that we get to know one of the most important support characters overall a lot better. Being able to see what brought her to the Oleander and how she came to be in the position she’s in, it was a little detail I didn’t even know I needed until I started diving further in. Not to mention, getting to see the previous two guys again and getting a peek at Beau was the cherry on top.....Beau has the potential to really knock it out the park with his installment (up next).

Steam: As with all these installments, this series DOES NOT skimp on the smut. I’m not saying all scenes were particularly hot/sexy for me, but you will get your fair share of all kinds of sexual debauchery in this one.

The Bad:
Writing Choices: There were some writing choices made that really affected the overall story and not in a good way. From the big issue from the past that was so painfully obvious you would have to believe Fallon was a complete idiot to not “see” the truth of the matter, to the big twist that was just so easily accepted without any sort of conflict or hesitation.
description
And the ending, these endings are ALWAYS so abrupt and rushed that I just wish there was a little more angst or suspense or something to make it not so blah.

Who signed off on that?: There were a few parts I HAVE to mention that really stuck out and made me laugh and roll my eyes simultaneously. Let’s take a look at a few....
Because as bliss overcame my body, it hit me—how could he be the devil if he made me see God, I came so hard?
description
....can someone please explain this sentence to me? I feel like I get what they were trying to get across, yet I’ve read it and re-read it and can’t decide if I’m simply too stupid to make sense of it or if it’s just written incorrectly.
Or we have a shining example of going a little too far with the purple prose....
She was my dutiful soldier in this dark war of lust, and her body would forever be mine to command. I had now had a taste, and my thirst would never be satiated.  Like a vampire knocking, she had opened the door and invited me in. Now it was my time to feed.
description
.....I mean it was laid on a little thick in such a short timespan. Or suddenly this badass heroine turning into a Sunday school teacher with this kind of dialogue....
He massaged my buttocks as he kissed me. Well, golly, that sure felt good.
description
....this comes from the same heroine who had the dirtiest mouth of all of them so far saying things like....
And the thought of Rafe watching me masturbating and getting this hard and ravenous had me juicing so much I might have fucking squirted all over his massive cock that was all but splitting me open.
.....total 180 right?
description
I had to make sure I hadn’t been dropped into a chapter from another belle because it was so opposite of everything Fallon. Plus who the fuck in their 20s says buttocks or golly?

The Verdict:
description
As with Alta’s Top Shelf series, the Breaking Belles series isn’t one that is going to make me feel any intense emotions or deep connections with the characters BUT that doesn’t take away from the entertainment factor of it all. If you are a fan of smut with a side of humiliation and shame, this series is one that will tick all your boxes. It helps that they have crafted a world that is fascinating and tell an overall story that with each installment keeps to the central point but stays fresh and exciting. I’m not saying this is going to land on any top reads lists, but I am saying it’s a fun little book to get lost in for a few hours.

I was perfect. Perfect in my brokenness, in my jagged edges, in my softness, in my anger and sorrow and rage, and perfect in my joy.

Opulent Obsession by Alta Hensley and Stasia Black is the 3rd book in the Breaking Belles series. This is Rafe Jackson and Falcon Perry's story. Like the books in the series, this story is dark, twisted, gripping, raw, intense, heartbreak, misunderstandings, full of psychological suspense, intrigue, action and romance. There story is one childhood BFFs to enemies adults to lovers. This story has everything that will have the reader engaged from start to finish. Rafe and Falcon face many trials, including a past that's best left behind. Will Rafe and Falcon get their well deserved HEA ?

My Rating: 4.5 stars *********

I have to start with, this series just gets better and better!! The emotional aspect of the characters have grown in depth, while the sinful nature still oozes off the pages. Opulent Obsession is my favorite book by Alta and Stasia so far!

Rafe and Fallon have a past. Growing up as best friends, while from opposite demographics an unlikely coupling, they found a deep connection as lost souls. Rafe is the second born, the disposable son and only needed within his family when his older passed away. Rafe made me want to cry right from the very beginning. His family never really saw him, except as his brothers ghost. Rafe carries the world upon his shoulders every single day and he's very easy to like. He's sad in the way he feels unloved and he wants to please everyone around him, he just wants to be loved.

Fallon on the other hand attended the same school as Rafe and his friends, but as a charity case (at least in her eyes) since her mother was the maid who cleaned Rafe's home. It's now years laters and circumstances have brought them back together (it's time once again for an initiate of The Order of the Silver Ghost to pick a new belle) which means if Rafe picks her out of all the others she could get whatever her heart desires. She desires an easier living than what she grew up in, which means providing for her mother, but they have to make it to the end and past hurts may stand in the way of her ever moving past forgiving the boy who broke her heart. Fallon is strong and I admired her strength from the very beginning, but I also admired the way she held herself together to endure everything that life threw her way.

Both Rafe and Fallon seek to let their past ghosts go as they accomplish each trial, but neither make it easy on the other as their pasts may be too thick to wade through.  It's possible that unlike their previous friends they may not find a happily ever after together.

This Order is absolutely crazy, and their trials are brutal and demanding.
Rafe and Fallon are the next couple to undergo the Initiation. This duo have a past, unfinished business, that keeps them from working as a team in these escapades. But sexually there is passion and bliss, and that will hopefully get them through every trial.
I was so sad for Fallon and what she has been through. My heart was broken with everything she endured with these elite, entitled people. But she is strong and fierce and has decided that she will get what she is due.
Fallon has his own demons and ghosts that he is battling besides his past with Fallon. And I felt sorry for him too because he is a shell of himself.
I absolutely loved this book!

"Book three in the series, while I did enjoy the story, it seemed a bit flat from the first two. It wasn't quite as dark as the others, but it was definitely depraved.
The twist for Rafe is that he not only knows his belle, but grew up with her until she left, during his darkest hour.
Fallon is back, the quiet small town she grew up in hasn't changed much, but this time, the secrets of her past, that she wasn't aware of, are revealed.
Will they have what it takes to pass the trials, or will they be the second to bow out and go their own ways? We get glimpses of Beau's initiation, but I'm looking forward to reading it in full."

This book was good but for me, wasn’t as good as book 2. It was great that some of the trails were changed up but this one just felt like something was missing. It wasn’t a total focus on the new initiate and belle, but branched off into sub story pathways that we don’t get to follow all the way through. I still want to read the next one.

Have The Tissues Ready! Rafe & Fallon’s Story Is Sinfully Dark & Dangerous, Yet There Are Sweet And Tender Moments As Well. Their Dark & Steamy Story Of Friendship, Loss, & Secret Societies Has A Beautifully Tearful Ending.

This book is the third in what appears to be a six-part series. A number of characters are introduced in the first book and the set-up is complex, so I have summarized it here to serve as a quick reference. Book one is Montgomery and Grace’s story, Elegant Sins. In book two, Beautiful Lies, Sully and Portia are paired together to face the Trials. Rafe and Fallon’s story takes place in book three, Opulent Obsession. Book four appears to be Beau and Abilene’s story; their Trials overlap with Rafe and Fallon’s and a hint of their story appears in book three.

NOTE: don’t’ forget to download the free bonus scene via the link at the back of the book. It is from one of Montgomery and Grace’s secret initiation rituals. See their story in book one, Elegant Sins.

Darlington County, Georgia is home to the state’s most affluent men and steeped in Southern charm and tradition. The historic Oleander Manor is home to tradition that goes back generations. It is owned by the Order of the Silver Ghost, a society of powerful and influential men. They don’t frown upon inviting new money to join, though their ranks are filled with old. These men represent sin, lies, and obsession. The atmosphere at the manor drips with malice, revenge, and corruption. They are blue-blood, and they pass their dark lifestyle on from one generation to the next. They operate under a law book, and ten Elders lead them through their various ceremonies and rituals.

As the story opens in book one, six recruits into the Order of the Silver Ghost are gathered at the manor. All are graduates of Darlington Preparatory Academy seven years ago. All work for their fathers. All turn twenty-five this year – the year that they become eligible to become members of the Order. Once they earn membership and the key passing ceremony takes place, the laws dictate that they take the reins of their family empires. All are committed to doing whatever it takes to maintain their wealth and continue the blue-blood legacy. Growing up, they had been permitted to participate in certain of the trials and events as spectators, so they have some ideas as to what to expect. They are all nervous, wondering if the trials will change them forever. It begins with a Ghost Ball, where a belle is chosen by the recruit and approved by the Order. In the following 109 days, the recruit is hunkered in at Oleander with his belle. During that time, the Order works to break her.

Montgomery Kingston is the guest of honor for the evening in book one. It is his Trial of Initiation. He is the first of the group’s graduating class to turn twenty-five and go through the trials. He is a pretty boy and loves his mama. He was captain of the football team, top of his class, and has worked tirelessly to grow the family business. He is listed in Forbes as one of the wealthiest men under the age of thirty. His father is one of the Elders of the Order. As such, Montgomery is expected to help run the Order one day.

Sully VanDoren is next to go through the trials. His Trial of Initiation is in book two. He doesn’t buy into the tradition. He hates anything to do with high society and Southern charm, so it isn’t surprising that he left Darlington years ago. Pessimistic and unhappy to be forced to participate, he reluctantly goes along because he will do what it takes to get the keys to his father’s kingdom.

Rafe Jackson’s Trial of Initiation takes place in book three. He doesn’t want to waste his time with the trials. He works the hardest of the group because his wealth is newer and not well-established. Keeping among the ranks of the wealthy is a daily struggle. He is stubborn and the most driven of the group. He will stop at nothing to be amongst his peers and in the Order. He did not grow up in the halls of the Oleander like his friends had. His family is new to the Order. Though this is how Rafe is originally described, it does not perfectly reflect his character as it unfolds in his book, Opulent Obsession.

Beau Radcliffe is the fourth recruit. Not much is known about him yet, though he does make some appearances in book three. He is probably more cold and detached than his friends.

Walker St. Claire is much like Montgomery. He was born and raised to be a Southern gentleman. His father is one of the Elders of the Order. Like Montgomery, Walker is expected to help run the Order one day.

Emmett Washington is a busy man, and attending Order gatherings is a waste of his precious time. He is similar to Rafe. He considers the trials to be a sick tradition. He is from new money and works hard to keep and increase that money. His father joined the Order over a decade ago.

Dates of the Trials of Initiation thus far include:

Montgomery Kingston: Saturday, September 16.
Sullivan VanDoren: Saturday, January 18.
Rafe Jackson: Saturday, May 10.

IN THIS BOOK:

Rafe Jackson, twenty-five, spent his whole life feeling like an outsider. He is still haunted by the death of his older brother Timothy. The two were just one year apart and had been close despite the favoritism lavished upon Timothy. As the firstborn son, Timothy had meant the world to his parents. He represented the future of the Jackson family, and his parents accordingly poured all their hopes, dreams, and efforts into him and his success. He was a star athlete and valedictorian, and would one day take his place in the Order. He had died in an accident during Rafe’ senior year of high school, and Rafe’s world hadn’t been the same since. He and Timothy had been raised in a cold and quiet home. Without Timothy, Rafe felt lost. He is quick to blame himself for things, and has thus quietly suffered for somehow not being there to prevent his brother’s accident.

But perhaps the biggest change brought about by Timothy’s death was the new expectation that Rafe would take his place in the Order. Unlike Timothy, Rafe had not been groomed his entire life for that eventuality. He had been unimportant and largely neglected growing up. He was thus not prepared for the pressure to live up to his brother’s standards. He dealt with the pressure the only way he knew how: he internalized it. He had spent a lifetime repressing his feelings. Though it had greatly displeased his neurotic mother, he found an outlet in tattoos. They helped keep him grounded and focused when times got tough.

As his Trials approach, Rafe hopes to find the strength to make his family proud. Though he has his own money and could easily get a job if needed, he wants to join the Order more than anything – for Timothy and for his parents. He has worked for his father, learning the ins and outs of the oil business, since graduating from high school. College hadn’t seemed necessary since he already had a job lined up. Successfully passing the Trials of Initiation will give him the keys to the business his father had started, making Rafe the new CEO. It wasn’t what he ever pictured himself doing, but it is all he knows. His father had started the business and taught Rafe well, and they had the swing of things now.

Though most of Rafe’s reasons for wanting to join the Order are about Timothy and his parents, there is yet another reason. Montgomery, Sully, and the gang were all first born, and as such Rafe had always felt like an outsider or a third wheel with his friends as well as at home. His friends never treated him differently, but they all knew he would never join the Order with them. But even as the second son, Rafe had spent some time at the Oleander growing up. And what had most struck him was the animated way in which his father spoke to his friends at the Manor. Closed off and quiet at home and work, he was a different man when he put on his Order cloak. Rafe desperately wanted that feeling of belonging, of feeling happy and carefree. And he would do whatever it took to get that. He had been growing more and more introverted since his brother’s death, which coincided with the Fallon leaving his life. She was the one person that he could have talked to about anything. He had been obsessed with her, and her sudden removal from his life had devastated him at the lowest point of his life.

Fallon Perry, roughly twenty-five, retuned to Darlington about two months ago. She had left midway through her senior year of high school. She never wanted to return to her childhood hometown, but she feels stuck. Jeoffrey Brown had been an wonderful boyfriend. They had been happy together in San Francisco, but she had suddenly come to the realization that they just weren’t on the same page. She suspected part of what held her back was her past, so she moved home temporarily for a long overdue visit with her mother, whom she adored. As a single mother, her mom had worked hard all her life to provide for Fallon, and Fallon hopes one day to be able to help her mom live a more comfortable life. But that day seems a long ways off.

Fallon is at a crossroads in life and despite all her bad memories, she found herself drawn back to Georgia – hopefully just for some closure before she moves on again. She desperately needs a good job. She hadn’t been practical when she chose to major in Studio Art during college. She had always loved painting and naively believed she might easily find employment with her degree. Since she can apply for jobs from almost anywhere, it seemed to make sense to take some time to visit her mother while she regroups. In the meantime, she landed a catering job that keeps her very busy. But seeing her old best friend Rafe while working at Sully’s party recently had caught her off guard.

Being in Rafe’s presence again evokes so many contrary emotions that it is hard to settle on just one. They had been best friends since age five, and though he had other friends, too, he was her only real friend. His other friends were mostly nice, but they didn’t know her. Like all the kids at school, they were wealthy, and she was just the housekeeper’s daughter on a scholarship. A charity case, dependent upon handouts and never entirely free. But Rafe was different. He was everything to her. And when they got older her feelings had grown and began to change. But his rejection had hurt. And it made leaving easier. She had been a convenience to him, someone easily dropped when she became inconvenient. So when she left, Fallon never came back. She moved on, grew up, went to college, and fell in love. Or so she thought. Now she wasn’t sure about anything. She was lost.

Retuning to Darlington had trudged up Fallon’s old insecurities. Though she had left her goth girl days behind years ago, she still felt inadequate, like a black sheep in a town of luxury and wealth. Her classmates had not been kind about the fact that she was the daughter of a housekeeper. If they could have revoked her scholarship to attend Darlington Prep, they would have. Running into her mother’s best friend, though, is comforting. Mama H. – or Mrs. Hawthorne – had been like a second mother to her. But she hadn’t expected Mrs. Hawthorne to mention Rafe’s upcoming Initiation, nor did she anticipate that there was so much about her mother and Mama H. that she hadn’t known. Mrs. Hawthorne’s eye-opening conversation leaves her with much to digest, and her idea has the possibility of being not only the answer to Fallon’s dreams, but also the justice that her mother deserves.

Rafe and Fallon’s story has a rich history. Though they went their separate ways seven years ago, neither had entirely adjusted to life without the other. They begin the Trials as lost souls hoping to earn a solid future, but they are also forced to confront the past. They are both hurt by what took place their senior year, but their understanding of the events differs. Rafe is strong and stoic. He is completely unappreciated despite all his good intentions and admirable qualities. His sense of responsibility and his desire to honor his brother by stepping into his shoes really tugs on the heartstrings, making it easy to be invested in his happiness. The quiet ways he inherited, though, mean that he is sometimes not good with words and feelings; he thus sometimes gets himself into trouble.

Like Rafe, Fallon grew up feeling out of place. She learned to shield herself, but that had become a bad habit. It had only been with Rafe that she felt truly free. Her drive to pull herself out of poverty is easy to understand. Her somewhat sudden fixation on being self-reliant feels natural but a little dramatic. Still, she was ways a victim of Darlington in a number of ways, and her story really hits home in the end. Rafe and Fallon must each deal with their separate issues while also working through the Trials. It is a rocky endeavor, as expected, due to the nature of the rituals. And as they work through the trials and their personal issues, their romance blooms. They eventually find a happy for now ending. Beau Radcliffe’s story gets a small head start in the brief epilogue. His story follows in book four.

Rafe and Fallon’s story is sinfully dark and dangerous, yet there are sweet and tender moments as well. Have the tissues ready! Both Rafe and Fallon’s stories will have you in tears. Their story takes the reader into the world of the Order. It is draped in tradition. The old guard is mysterious and morally corrupt. The initiation is a test of will, a test of mental strength more so than anything else. Rafe and Fallon had become best friends easily as children. They were both outsiders with issues of self-worth. He was rather quiet, but she brought him out of his shell. As adults, their reconnection is simple if only they can get out of their own way. They have wonderful chemistry, but it is their deep friendship that drives their desire. But the Trials are not easy, and they are both tested before the 109 days end. The Order wants to break them, to test their strength and resolution. Fallon wants justice and hopes Rafe’s misplaced notion of protecting her doesn’t bring her down.

Rafe and Fallon’s dark and sinfully steamy story of friendship, loss, and secret societies has a beautifully tearful ending. The story is nicely written and plot-driven. It is complex. The characters are carefully crafted and realistic. Thrown together in a sequence of sick ceremonies and activities, Rafe and Fallon try to survive without breaking. Fans will be happy that new Order member Montgomery Kingston plays a small role in this book. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Rafe and Fallon; the epilogue is in Beau Radcliffe’s POV. I rate this book four stars.

This was my favorite book of the series!

Opulent Obsession is the third installment of the Breaking Bellas series by Stasia Black & Alta Hensley.

The order of books is as follows:

1. Elegant Sins
2. Beautiful Lies
3. Opulent Obsession

I STRONGLY recommend reading this series in order as the secret society, The Order of the Silver Ghost, is largely described in Elegant Sins. Reading this series in order provides the reader with information that adds to the current book's narrative. If you go in the series order, the progression of the story as well as several of the characters in this book will be better understood. There are series regulars here that are past characters from the previous two books.

Opulent Obsession is my favorite book in the series so far. From what I’ve read in book one versus this one, I’m very impressed. The depth, character growth and emotion has increased significantly. I found myself unable to put this book down. It kept progressing page after page and I was enthralled in the storyline, needing to see what would happen next!

In Opulent Obsession, we are reading Rafe Jackson and Fallon Perry’s story. This book didn’t begin as the others did when it came time for the ceremony. Unlike his friends, Rafe actually knows Fallon. The two of them used to be childhood best friends. She wasn’t supposed to be here, and he doesn’t want her involved in the ceremony.

Whether by chance or fate, Fallon didn’t intend on coming back to her hometown either. Something drew her back and she wants to help her mother as they have always financially struggled growing up.

Though the two haven’t seen each other in years, Fallon and Rafe recently bump into each other digging up ghosts of the past. Fallon has been through a lot and even more that we find out about later on in the book. Rafe grew up privileged, but he never felt loved or seen. Being seen is a basic human need and I can understand how a lifetime of being overlooked, could tear Rafe down internally. When we meet him, it’s apparent his cruel mother and lack of parental approval affects him deeply. Rafe is the second born son and never quite lived up to his parent’s expectations. Though their issues were different, Rafe and Fallon formed connection as children and teenagers.

I was invested in their love story and wanted desperately for the two to overcome their issues and stand up to The Order. In this book we read through more of the trials. Though the authors wrote different scenarios, some that terrified me and would make me quit if I were Fallon, the trials weren’t the primary focus of this book. That is why I believe reading the books in order is important. Fallon’s trials and the other Belle’s are similar, but each book offered various difficulty levels. If you’ve read the prior two books, you know that The Order of the Silver Ghost is brutal, ruthless and does not respect women at all. That is still clear as day in this book. Those elders sure are mean.

Of course, we still get the same sexy, steamy, BDSM scenes that we are used to from these authors 😉. It’s exciting when you read about things you’ve never heard of before. With each trial, we are surprised. It could be really hot or really scary and it’s all at the whim of The Order of the Silver Ghost. I am sure we will hear much more about The Order in the upcoming three more books. Yes three! Are you excited? I was when I saw that each of the six 25-year olds will be getting their own book. I love a series full of stand alones. I look forward to Beau’s book next. Each gentleman has had their own personalities than translates to sexual style. I enjoy when an author is able to differentiate how they write their characters. They did a great job on varying the sex scenes in each book.

I recommend this book of course. It’s a hot, second chance romance with a twist. Enjoy the secret societies, difficult trials and self-discovery awaits in Opulent Obsession.

Opulent Obsession is the third book in the series "Breaking Belles" and I really had a fun time with this one even though the heroine was driving me batty. Opulent Obsession is part of a erotic romance series. The setup of the series is that we have six men who are obligated to take part in a initiation process and it has a sexual environment. These six men go through this initiation to change how it's done as they don't believe it's right and I really love that they are willing to sacrifice so much to create change and that the women by their side have such complete trust. And in this book, we have a story of a second chance and these two were friends as kids but were torn apart because that was not of their own making and I really enjoyed seeing them come back to each other. Although I felt like the heroine was so bitter and angry and the poor hero just takes it and is so understanding and patient with her. So I felt like she could have been more willing to listen to him and really be more understanding on his end, and really see the truth behind it all. It took almost 75% before she was able to see the other side and see that it wasn't the hero's fault. And they are in this situation where they really need to be a team together or they won't accomplish the initiation. What they put these young people through is hell and I just wish that the heroine just was more of a partner as the hero was fighting to be with her. It just felt one-sided most of the time throughout the story.

Overall I had a blast with Opulent Obsession and I just couldn't seem to get enough of this story!

I generously received this novel as a Arc, this is my 5* review

This is a 3 series novel so far, I am yet to read book 1 and 2 (reviews coming soon).

Opulent Obsession: A Dark Secret Society Romance is a novel that can be read on its own as well as part of the series.
This is the first time I have read the author(s) novels.

I was absolutely hooked, Rafe and Fallon was so easy to love, to feel their passion and their pain from their manic background.
Rafe and Fallon had been best friends for years.
A sudden heartache pulled them a part, years went on and Fallon found herself back into the mist of her past life, a life she tried to leave behind, a life that had him in, the oh so perfect tattooed best friend who she was in love with.

The two ended up being paired together in the trials for Rafe to become a member of thr secret society his father is in, he was next in line to make his family proud after the passing of his brother who was the one in line to become a member of the society.

There was trials to take part in, ones which made both realise their feelings for each other, each trial made them peak inside their history, one which wasn't always the best or happiest of times.
They found each other again, they explored different aspects of each other, falling in love, finding the truth about Fallon's past. The excitement, the pain, the sadness keeps you hooked to read more.

I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the first two of the series and waiting for the fourth book to be released.

Old men and their demented games. Yuk!

Well another “trial” has come around and this time it is Rafe’s turn. He has lots of issues about his brother and just does not communicate well. He digs his ditch every time he opens his mouth to talk to Fallon. I just didn’t connect with him because he was so socially stupid.

Fallon was one strong girl, but just fell into Rafe easily. I loved the scene with her and Rafe while she was painting. You are painting your screams.

The trails were glossed over more in this one. The spider one was way gross, got my skin crawling. Fallon’s didn’t seem as harsh as the other girls. (She got a tattoo and not a brand)

The twist was interesting at the end. The background information about the rejected belles was interesting. Good overall read.

Received an ARC from BookSprout for an honest review.

Opulent Obsession will take you through a new array of emotions as the trails continue with Rafe. Rafe's trail is different from the others before him. You will just get hit in the gut once Rafe sees Fallon as one of the Belles. Rafe and Fallon's past has a to do with how the trails will go. You see great strength in Fallon as she is put through the paces and tries to figure a few things out. Rafe and Fallon will just steal your heart as everything they thought they know changes and the truths come out. The Order of the Silver Ghost series just keeps getting better and better. I can't wait to see what the team of Hensley and Black bring us next. I couldn't put this down. Such a fantastically pull you in read.

I have been looking forward to the third in this terrific Series and wasn’t disappointed. Darlington Georgia, home of the Oleander Manor/Estate where the Order of the Silver Ghost, an exclusive ‘men only’ club run by the rich and important of Georgia’s elite, conduct the trials of the first born son of the Elders of the Club. The trials are conducted over 109 days (referencing the property is at 109 Oleander Lane).
Rafe Jackson is the next in his group of friends to undergo the trials, sadly he is not a firstborn son, his older brother Timothy had been killed in a road accident when Rafe was a teenager and now he has been granted special dispensation to take part in the trial in Timothy’s stead.
Rafe’s mother has never recovered from the loss of her elder and favourite son and his room has become a sort of sad shrine to Timothy and we first meet Rafe about to undergo his trial. Rafe is plagued with doubts and deep seated neuroses stemming from the night his brother was killed but is anxious to live up to the high expectations of his parents and the Elders of the Order.
Fallon Perry was introduced briefly at the very end of the previous book in the Series, Beautiful Lies. She has returned to Darlington having been away at school and then college for several years. She and Rafe were best friends for years from when they were both 5 years old, she being the daughter of the housekeeper and him being the somewhat ignored second child of the Jacksons. Fallon attended the same exclusive school as Rafe and his friends having been granted a full scholarship. Their friendship was really close, they could tell each other anything until the fateful night when Timothy was killed. Suddenly Rafe no longer wanted to see or speak with Fallon and her school, for no apparent reason, rescinded her scholarship but an anonymous benefactor paid for her to attend an exclusive school way across the county in California to complete her high school education and graduate. Being unable to speak or connect with Rafe to say goodbye Fallon left Darlington immediately. Now back in Darlington Fallon is working as a waitress (Fallon has an Arts degree which is not very lucrative).
Whilst having a coffee in town on the day of the new trials Fallon meets with Mrs Hawthorne (housekeeper to Oleander Manor), Mama H to Fallon as she and her mother have been close friends all Fallon’s life. Mama H shares some mind blowing truths and old secrets with Fallon about her and Fallon’s mother’s past.
At the trial Rafe is called forward to choose his Belle (a young woman to be his partner through the trial and who will be rewarded with whatever her heart desires if she survives and completes the trial). Staggered to see Fallon is one of the belles, what will he decide? Will he choose Fallon? the trials are cruel and obscene, the belles are abused and treated like prostitutes, they need to be strong. How will he decide? Read on....
These books are compelling and absorbing reads, the characters, although in many cases flawed and tortured, have depth and appeal. At times I found myself mentally shouting at them to listen and talk to each other, their relationship was extremely hot and beautifully written. I loved this book and am eagerly looking forward to Beau and Abilene’s story. Keep it up you two fabulous writing ladies.

This was my favorite of the series so far, because I love this internal turmoil that Rafe goes through to feel like he's worthy of his existence. Though he has so much money and all the privileges, he isn't exempt from his own struggles and insecurity. His best friend is Fallon, his housekeeper's daughter, whom he's grown up with. Separated when they in their final year of high school, Rafe and Fallon encounter each other again when she is a belle during Rafe's initiation into the Order of the Silver Ghost.

Rafe grapples with his identity as a Jackson, though he doesn't struggle with such a strong hatred of his father. It's more of a neglect and an indifference, and there certainly has to be a reconciliation between them. Rafe never understood why Fallon left, but he does know that he's left wondering about what happened to his best friend, and when he sees her again, feels protective of her. He wants to take care of her, not realizing that there's a misunderstanding that contributes to Fallon's antagonistic feelings towards him. Fallon's suffering from abandonment issues: from a father that she never knew, society's judgment of her during high school, and Rafe's rejection of her after he suffered a traumatizing experience. At times, she seems stronger than Rafe, submitting to the trials because her end goal is to earn her independence. What connects them is their desire to feel like they are worthy of love and being chosen, not only by their family and society, but also by each other.

Rafe's tattoo of Strength, Love, and Honor exemplifies all the characteristics they need to get through their trials. Strength to persevere through the rites mentally and physically, and love and honor for each other so they can protect themselves from the Order's mind games and their insecurities. I wish there was a more obvious resolution between Rafe and his mom, because we always think of a mother's love to be the thing to heal and comfort us, but motherly love can also be truly calculating and heartbreaking as shown through this book. I wanted Rafe to feel this peace with his mom as he steps into the next phase of his life.

Dirty old men and sexcapades! Yep, that's Oleander Manor and the Order of the Silver Ghost. The new group of initiates and their Belles fight to make it through the trials to get to the end and the big reward. The newest members of the Order hope to change the less than savory antics of the trials but the longtime friends need to make it to the end for that to happen. One made it through and one failed. Now it's Rafe turn. He's lived in the shadow of his older brother for too long and hopes to break free. The initiation is his chance. He's ready but he doesn't plan on seeing his childhood friend Fallon in the line of Belles. She wants to break free of her poor childhood, handouts, charity and take care of her mother. There was some trickery in her being chosen as the belle and Rafe's not happy. He wants to save her from the perverse humiliation of the trials but she's not having it. She wants revenge on the men that affected her life and mother's. Her backstory is an OMG reveal that has her and one of the new members in a happy place. Rafe's backstory is heartbreaking but he gets some peace at the end. I really like this series but this story wasn't up to the previous ones. The trials were mild and light on the details. It was almost like someone else wrote this story. It was not as salacious and harsh as the previous stories The romance was a sweet second chance with a five year gap, misunderstanding and an interfering parent that leaves Rafe and Fallon with hurt feelings to overcome. I like them as a couple. The romance was good but the Initiation was lacking compared to the other stories. I was left with unanswered questions. How did Fallon's choosing happen? Why did the marking of the Belles change? Where was Fallon's mother in all of this? I liked the ending with the peek of Beau's story. I hope the continuation of his story gets back to the previous dirty games and nasty old men of the Order. This was a quick read but I was left wanting more of the devious game playing, wild sex parties and attempts to break the Belle. I'm looking forward to the next installment and more of this enthralling series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC. 3.5 STARS

Alta Hensley and Stasia Black have written this book slightly differently to the first two in the series, using it to give more of a background to the Belle's side of things which in turns makes this book more psychological although with plenty of the physical activities the Oleander Order on the side. There's all the pomp and ceremony that we have come to expect alongside the nakedness, the tuxedos, the collars, the lube, the glass, the mirrors, the lake, Mrs H, 109 days, an invite, an expectation, canes, fathers, black ribbon, pearls, pretty dresses, tattoos and so much more!

If you haven't read books one and two you have already missed out on the pre-cursors to this book and although they are all stand-alone stories reading them as a series is strongly advised. The men involved in the 'trials' at Oleander are all friends for life having been brought together in preparation for the trials at an early age. Their 'Belles' are locally picked girls with little to no connection to the Order.

Our two main characters in this book are both damaged individuals who happen to have known each other since they were two and five. There's an interesting backstory for them that you find out throughout the book. Death, abandonment, poverty, bullying, and life in general has hurt them both to a point where although they know each other inside out they can no longer communicate properly but can they pull it back when it matters.

This book is another amazing piece of work from the writing team of Alta Hensley and Stasia Black, I literally cannot get enough of their writing and can't wait for the next book in this series.

As long as you know what to expect when you're reading it I'm totally recommending this book to you; it, and the other books in the series are fantastic xx

Tremendous dark romance full of suspense and twists, a MUST-READ!
OPULENT OBSESSION, the third novel in the Breaking Bells series by the writing team of Alta Hensley and Stasia Black, BLEW MY MIND! Like the other novels in the series, OPULENT OBSESSION is darkly eloquent, exceptionally well-written, and full of the suspense and twists that are normal for these authors. It also contains explicit scenes so is for those 18 and older, mature readers only. Once again, the story of OPULENT OBSESSION centers around the protracted stipulations surrounding Rafe Jackson’s initiation into a Southern Gentlemen’s secret society. This being the third book in the series, I was dreading the depravity I knew would be a part of what I now can attest is an exceptional story. While expecting the plotline of OPULENT OBSESSION to differ from the others in the series, I was completely surprised by the unique differences. I’ll discuss none of them here as I do not wish to spoil even a page of what happens. I will only say, that by the last few chapters I was again reminded why I have repeatedly volunteered to read each novel, written a voluntary review for the book, and awarded each title in the series with the FIVE+STARS each has so richly earned. OPULENT OBSESSION is by far my favorite since I am a sucker for second-chance romances and a promised HEA! Fallon, the female protagonist, was both bull-headed and inspirational, while Rafe was all kinds of a mansplaining millennial who finally . . . gets it together enough to get the girl he needs. I fell in love with both of them yet really can’t explain why in this review – again no spoilers. However, OPULENT OBSESSION is going into the FAVORITES collection on my Kindle! If you like your romances on the dark side, amazing characters within a page-turning yet complex plotline, and a book with an in-depth conclusion; then I must strongly suggest - get your copy of OPULENT OBSESSION today. Happy pages! 😉

Opulent Obsession is the third book in the Breaking Belles Series by Stasia Black and Alta Hensley. It can be read as a standalone but I recommend you read Elegant Sins and Beautiful Lies first to learn the background of everything that is happening. This series keeps getting better with every book and I really don’t want it to end. This story belongs to Rafe Jackson and Falcon Perry.

There was a twist at the start that totally messed with my head and literally made my jaw drop. I was so shocked and I was like WTF but then after I realised what happened next I was like well played authors well played.

I absolutely love and adore Rafe but it made me really sad to watch him carry around the suffocating guilt he has for something that wasn’t his fault. Fallon is kind and strong but is broken because of things that happened in the past. I love when Fallon’s anger towards Rafe is melted away with by the chemistry they have had since childhood. As adults their chemistry is out of this world. I have no words for how much I hate Rafe’s mother because she is so horrible and I do have the tiniest little bit of sympathy for her in regards to something I won’t mention but she is horrendous.

The Order and the Trials of Initiation get even more twisted with every new book. I love discovering what the new trials are going to be but in this book there was a part that nearly made vomit in my mouth but it was brilliantly written. I love the endings in this series and I love when I get to learn a little bit about whose turn it is next. I just realised that the title of the next book to be released is revealed in the previous book which I love so much.

This story is filled with heartbreak, guilt, pain, self discovery, hot sex, forgiveness and an abundance of secrets. The next book is Inherited Malice which is Beau Radcliffe’s story.

I recieved an advanced copy for free, and this is my honest opinion.

Wonderful riveting read by two amazing authors
When he decides that he has made his mind up about something and that above all else he decides that he wants her, there is nothing and no one that can or will do to stop him! I do not want to spoil the plot of this book and so I will be careful about the details as I do not want to spoil this wonderful read for other readers.
He has known her for quite some time and unfortunately it was an inheritance he had expected his brother to gain responsibility of however, when he died this responsibility had fallen to him. He doesn’t want it and he certainly doesn’t want to have to deal with her but this is his family birth right and they can be no walking away this time.
The “Order Of The Silver Ghost” is a secret society had dates back centuries and it is not a choice, an option or a passing thought. It is a life-long obligation that should you fail your responsibilities will cost you and yours their life should you faulter or fail.
He is haunted by the guilt he feels having inherited the position, the wealth and title he has inherited, he had believed that he would be able to simply go through the motions in his new position.
However now that he is spending time with his brother Ex he also realises that the feelings he has for her is far more than simply going through the motions and he knows that his heart may be trying to lead him astray!!
This is a wonderful read I assure you that once you begin reading you will not be able to put this book down until you reach the final page, you will be totally drawn into this simply spectacular and very original book.
Stasia Black and Alta Hensley were simply intended to write together and everyone of their books seem to get better and better, I look forward to future collaborations between them.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Opulent Obsession I am so very much loving this series. This is from the Breaking Belles Series and is book 3. This time it is Mr. Rafe Jackson and Fallon Perry’s story.

The invite is out for Rafe into the Secret Society - The Order of the Silver Ghost. It isn’t supposed to be Rafe’s turn after all, it is supposed to be his brother Timothy’s turn but with his brother dead it means that Rafe is the one that will go in Timothy’s stead.

Once the initiate passes all the tasks that are put forth. He gets to inherit the family business and become a member into the secret society and she gets whatever she has asked for.

Rafe has grown up with Fallon in fact she was his best friend when growing up. Fallon moved away to go to college. Rafe has no idea why Fallon just moved away without any notice. (He will find out). Now she is home.

Mama H. (Mrs. Hawthorne) informs Fallon that it is her right to be one of the Belles to be chosen by the initiate into this secret society. Rafe sees Fallon but doesn’t want to choose her and put her through all that they have to do together for Rafe to get into this secret society. She ends up getting chosen for him.

Opulent Obsession is a dark romance and has some non con things happen so if this is a trigger proceed with caution.

Oh and why the spiders???? Ugh! It gave me the heebie-jeebies, just saying…. Of course it was meant to, I know.

These story’s just keep getting better and I can’t wait to see what else these two authors can come up with next. All I know is that it will be a story of debauchery, perversion and deviant!

There are 2 other books in this series.

Elegant Sins, book 1 - Montgomery Kingston and Grace Magnolia Morgan

Beautiful Lies, book 2 - Sullivan “Sully” Vandoren and Portia Collins

Rafe Jackson is the 3rd of the group of close friends turning 25 years old and beginning his 109 day trial to become a member of “The Order Of The Silver Ghost”.
It was not Rafe’s birthright since he is the 2nd son born. His older brother Timothy died in a car accident and the Elders made an exception since Rafe’s father is an Elder so, his lineage can continue on. Rafe has had guilt and has been feeling like a shell of a man trying to fulfill his dead brothers destiny. He is determined to honor Timothy’s memory with Strength, Love, and Honor. This was the 2 brothers battle cry before something important.
Fallon Perry who was the Jackson family’s house cleaners daughter is back in Darlington, Atlanta after leaving during her senior year of high school. Fallon feels like her heart and soul is still tangled up in this town and needs to find peace to move forward. Fallon and Rafe became best friends when they were very small children but, when Timothy died everything changed and Rafe broke her heart. Fallon is tired of being so angry at everything and everyone. She has strong reasons for wanting to be a Belle to make her life and her mothers better.
Rafe and Fallon need to work together and form a strong bond again because the Trials put them through tough situations that are forced to break them. They are eventually forced to confront their pasts and reveal their true feelings that turned into more than friendship. This was another incredibly amazing story in “The Breaking Belles” series. I cannot wait to read Beau Radcliffe’s story which is next. You get a little peak into his Initiation with his Belle and his cold demeanor during Rafe and Fallon’s Trials since they overlapped a little.

Opulent Obsession is my favorite so far.
Because the characters,Rafe and Fallon, have history together already.
So there is more dynamics and drama than just the trials they will be put through.
Fallon and Rafe are childhood best friends.
Until Fallon disappears in her last few months of high school.
Which is the same time Rafe is going through a devastating loss.
When Fallon becomes Rafe’s belle.
There is a lot they have to endure.
Both are broken in spirit and mind.
Rafe losing his older brother has had him always living and thinking he is second best.
He’s living in his brothers shadow at all times.
Rafe isn’t really living based on what he wants.
He’s living his life based on what was expected of his older brother and what would have been his responsibilities.
Fallon has always felt like a charity case.
The daughter of a single mother.
Who has worked so hard and long hours as a housekeeper to the rich.
They were living paycheck to paycheck.
Fallon always wore second hand clothes.
She was always made fun of by bullies.
When her and Rafe became friends at a young age he took her under his wings.
While the bullying lessened.
The feeling of being a charity case never went away.
The common bond Fallon and Rafe have are both always feeling less than.
Plus their childhood friendship that abruptly came to an end.
So while trying to endure the horrible trials of the order.
They also have to deal and come to terms with the unresolved issues that are between them.
And how they feel about themselves as individuals.
The plot is filled with suspense and drama.
With lies and deceit, secrets and betrayal of the worst kind
Also lust and passion that is so hot it sizzles off the pages.
Rafe and Fallon’s story is raw and intense.
And the revelations are jaw dropping.

Opulent Obsession is the latest book in the Breaking Belles series.  It's set in a town where the eldest sons from the extremely wealthy families have to go through a rite of passage in order to join a secret society and inherit their fortunes; failure means giving up the family business.  Unlike the first two, this one has less of a fractured fairytale vibe.  It's also the least dark; although there is a couple of disturbing scenes in this one too.  While the books make references to previous characters and there's an overlying mythology, each one can be read as a standalone.

Rafe, the hero, is a second son so he was never supposed to take part in the society.  His elder brother died young and it definitely fractured his family.  He also has a lot of guilt over it.  Fallon, the heroine, was Rafe's best friend when they were growing up since her mom was a maid for his parents.  Their friendship continued until Fallon was sent away.  I won't spoil the specifics; just say the Fallon's past is gut wrenching and makes you understand her motivation in becoming a belle.

Like the first two books, Rafe is a decent person who doesn't enjoy the sick games that the society plays on the belles.  Fallon, like the other heroines, is a strong woman who often leads Rafe into completing some of the trials.  Each couple is a partnership which, for me, adds to the richness of the stories.

While this book isn't very dark, there are a couple of scenes that are potential triggers; please be warned.  This is actually a safe read with real OW/OM drama and no real cheating.  There is explicit language and sex.  The epilogue sets up the next book.  I definitely recommend this series.

I received an ARC of the book from Booksprout in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Reuniting

This story was good, but next to the previous two in the series it seemed to skip over the trials and focus more on what was mentally going on with both the initiate and his belle. This story does have some trials that are new and different but some of the trials are a bit watered down in intensity... The trials in this story include a ghost exercising ceremony where hand painting the naked belle blue while her initiate watches, there is mention of the tattooing of both the initiate and belle, the belles in the previous books was branded, they lock this belle in a closet full of spiders, there is an collar trial where only the red collar for will share and the white collar for free for all are the chioces... In this story there is an orgy with a white collar and a bit of a reveal when the bell's father is announced... In some ways I liked this story better but I just felt if I had not read the previous books I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much... The scary will he save her and what is the next trial suspense was kinda missing and skipped over in places too. I would have expected the Silver Ghost Order to incorporate some naughty painting for the belle to pose for... Or rather than a sushi girl maybe another naughty center piece or serving dinner wench ... But this belle got let go much much lightly tested than the others. It was mostly about her and her initiates past and their family issues. Its a great story but I think it needs to be read in order for the best effect. You actually kinda meet her father in the first book... Good book

Style: Dark Contemporary Romance
Story: 3/5
Enjoyment: 2.5/5
Dark Level: 1/5
Sexual: GOOD

Male: Sexy
Series: Book 3
Pages: loc. 2778
Kindle Unlimited: Yes

STORY:
I was really torn with this book. I love the concept of this book. I like Rafe and I like Fallon. After 20% of the book, it felt as though it will be a slow start even though we are still establishing Fallon and Rafe individually. Once the initiations starts my interest peaked and decline a bit again. I think for me as well; it was on the light side of dark.

ENJOYMENT / CHEMISTRY:
I think the way the characters progressed lost my interest. Their physical chemistry was amazing, no complaints there. But it just felt as though Rafe and Fallon were missing something for me personally.

SECONDARY CHARACTERS:
None stood out to me as I believe 1 or 2 had a book already out in this series. This can be read as a standalone as I did not feel I lost.

Overall, it was ok. I did not get book butterflies or feel full on excitement. Doesn’t mean it was bad either. Again, this is based on my personal preference and taste, so I would not deter someone from trying this one out.

***I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read and hope this review was helpful.

Growing up Rafe Jackson was the second son, the ‘spare to the heir’. His older brother Timothy should’ve gone through the trials, been groomed to take over the family firm.
Rafe’s mother had always treated him less than...everything. He couldn’t do anything right so he was able to live under the radar and he and Fallon had become best friends. She was the daughter of his family housekeeper. They’d both attended Darlington Prep, but had both experienced a different time there.
Rafe felt as if he had died right alongside his brother the night Timothy had been killed in a car crash. Along with it, his childhood friendship of over a decade with Fallon was irreparably fractured much to her dismay. As far as Rafe had been concerned, she had just....left.
At the Belle Selection Parade, Rafe was stunned to come face to face with Fallon. Determined to protect her from the nightmare ahead of him, he refused to choose Fallon. He couldn’t put her through the trials and tribulations that were simply designed to break her.
But when his initial selection goes wrong, his father intervenes....
This is another excellent book in this series and is just as dark and twisted as the previous trials. However tissues are still advised. Fantastic

Secret society

Fallon returns to her hometown after studying in LA. She sees her mother struggling after years of heavy grafting and a chance meeting with an old family friend offers her an opportunity to not only save her mother but herself.

She finds out truths about herself and is chosen by the order to be raths belle.

Interesting concept, really good story but it's twisted. Far too much sex and dirty old men who treat the belles like chattel. Belle means beautiful but the way they are treated is ugly.

I think I have limited patience for storylines of this nature because why on earth would anyone put themselves through that. I get breaking the pattern, but why didn't Fallon contact her mum and return home from LA. They could have sued the school for child endangerment, physical and mental abuse, safeguarding issues etc.
The characters were ok, illogical in their decisions though. Dialogue ok.
In the final intense scene all the other women being abused seemed to magically disappear.

This wasn't romantic, this was two people participating in sexual trials for the gratification of dirty old rich men who get to play dress up.

If you are into that sort of thing then you will like this but for me they should have both left and started a life together.
The story was the best part for me.

Arc For Honest Review. Opulent Obsession By Alta Hensley and Stasia Black is the 3rd interconnected installment in the Breaking Belles series ., featuring, the dark secret society , and the romance of Rafe Jackson and Fallon Perry !! RAFES Turn to be initiated into the secret society has finally come . He was never supposed to be a part of this society, a claim to a birthright that was destined to be his brothers not his . His retribution comes in the form of the girl from his last who stole his heart and always has it . He has never gotten over her .she is at the initiation to take what’s owed to her , once again they come face to face , so many feeling arise again that were left unresolved. But he refused to let them break her, she refuses for them to fail the initiation. RAFE will not give up easily, he will do everything in his power to protect the ones he loves . He is absolutely Determined to claim his right-full place in the order and win her heart 💜. This is such a wonderful series , one , where you anticipate every single book . It is emotional , deep , delicious / yet steamy . I loved Fallon and Jackson’s story so much , the beauty of being able to experience every minute of their relationship right along with them . Opulent obsession exceeded all my expectations ❤️💜❤️❤️
