Words of Wisdom Erik Pevernagie: Selected and illustrated by his readers

Rate this book
This book is a selection of two hundred quotations chosen and illustrated by the author's readers worldwide. It is an inspiration for a more in-depth insight into the world, in one's life, in one's environment and also…in oneself.People from several segments of society made the selection and illustration of his social media executives (Winfrey Oprah), academics (Frans De Waal), politicians (Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar), artists, reporters, writers, psychologists, photographers, fashion designers, coaches, journalists, painters, bloggers, etc.The author has lived as a painter and a writer in Brussels-Belgium, and if his painting expresses universal emotions and articulates specific incidents in our collective memory, his writing tends to give voice to significant occurrences in our environment and hidden truths behind the appearances. We wish you a good read and invite you to enjoy the many illustrations, added by the readers, and let your mind flow on the waves of your imagination!* - - PHI030000 PHILOSOPHY / inspirational/ BODY, MIND & SPIRIT --PSY023000 PSYCHOLOGY / Personality- -+ PHO023090 PHOTOGRAPHY / Lifestyles—Nonfiction/inspirational/reflectionErik Pevernagie is a Belgian painter and writer, living in Brussels. He has held exhibitions in Paris, New York City, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Amsterdam, London, Brussels, and Antwerp. The artist is fascinated by the human condition. He wants to comprehend the "how and why" of things and the intricacies of relationships. Being interested in how we have to turn 'surviving' into 'living,' he likes creating good vibrations and displaying the truth behind the appearances. The anchor points in his thinking are love, empathy, mindfulness, awareness, happiness, resilience, meditation, perception, and emotion."International Herald ” Bridging the gaps between generations, social strata and nationalities is a tricky business. However, Erik Pevernagie may have hit upon a workable formula to ease the alienation.” Christie's, New York, "By denying any physical presence of the character and leaving simply dress evidence, the artist gives us a reproduction of the ground zero of the mind. His anti-hero has decided to make tabula rasa and get rid of all acquired alleged qualities.” Social and cultural issues have guided his adventurous spirit and inspired him to create a meeting place on two boats in the capital of the European “Ric’s River Boat” and “Ric’s Art Boat.”

I do appreciate his inspiring words and agree with him when he says that we need to transmute the way we look and feel life. So that in these difficult times we can see life and beauty in the simple, in the subtle. Thus, a new, more humane world can be born inside and outside each one of us.

A beautiful expression of life lived at full tilt. I am of his very school, riding the waves in the world we share and the world directly around me with the same sense of anticipation.

Very interesting that some of his words match up to the same codes we have been receiving these last weeks. I can see our journeys are intertwined. Curious to see what magic will be revealed.
