With Force is the steamiest book I think the author ever wrote. On top of the steam is an enjoyable and superb plot. The author gave the pe4ect balance. Read your trigger warnings; this book isn’t for everyone, which is okay.

I fell in love with Malibu in Where Violets Bloom and couldn’t wait to read his book. Malibu is fun-loving and lives life to the fullest guy of the group. He was never known to have a serious relationship. I didn’t expect him to be such a dirty talker, and it was a pleasant surprise.

Sammy is the sister of Malibu’s best friend. Both have known each with since there were children. Sammy is a confident and intelligent woman. That has particular desires—a girl up after my own heart.

The character build up between the two did not disappoint. The author did a phenomenal job on the growth of Malibu and Sammy. Which is something I really appreciate.

I was drawn and captivated from the beginning and couldn’t help but read the book in one sitting. Overall With Force is a great taboo romance. That I highly recommend.

So, I wouldn't call this much of a taboo romance. I know it has CNC scenarios but it's about the fluffiest version of one that I have ever read. And that's not a bad thing, at all!

The heroine has no tragic trauma or anything crazy she is trying to work out. This is just a girl who wants her hunky boyfriend to force her sometimes. And role-play some non-con.

So if you've ever been nervous to try a Rape Fantasy scenario. This would be a great one, because it's very low angst and the hero is literally called a Golden Retriever in the book. Haha!

Other tropes are brothers best friend and pining hero.

4 stars
4 on the spice scale.

I didnt read the other 2 books but I know the couples. I would rec to read the others but I didn't wanna lol.

Mally has been in love or Pinning after Sam for ages (if you have why be with other woman?) We know that he said they could both be dating others but she's his. His reason well her brother is his best friend. So he didn't wanna cross the line but now most of there friends are wifed up he's taking his shot. A cop and a doctor job is hard work so he visit his girl and slowly changes how he talks to her touches her.
Sam is suprised that their relationship is changing and she finally has someone she can trust to do a kink that's pretty much frowned upon.

When they talk about the kink Mally is against it since he could never see himself do that towards the woman he loves. It takes some time they have some ups and downs. But they work past it. But the other drama is telling her brother. It's hard when he catches them after they do the role play.

I guess why it was okay for me was them finally admiting there feelings since they've know eachother for years. Like? He even gave her date money to take her out on a date years ago. And the MILLION NICKNAMES for everyone.

No ow/om drama, no cheating, secondary character, tiny drama, sexy times, no virgins (both Mentions past dates or flings)

It was ok. The writing is great and it was entertaining. The spice is on point and very descriptive. I like the couple and how the story progressed. I knew this book had CNC and the scenes did disappoint a little. Just be forwarded that this book overuses the word boo to the point of frustration and annoyance to the reader.

I loved the promise of the off limits nature of Malibu and Sammy’s relationship. I appreciate a FMC that knows what she wants but he was so apprehensive and worried he was doing something wrong, it totally ruined it for me.

I really wanted to read it. And I started. And then this line immediately made me want to DNF “I can’t deny that I love everything about being a cop. The control and power, mostly” And then this guy went on paragraphs just talking about he’s a great. Just NO

childhood friends to lovers/ CNC/primal role play

This was a kinky little thing lol

Some things:
-H is a cop (Malibu from where violet bloom) whose kind of the laid back, happy go lucky, golden retriever type in the group of friends
-h is a nurse at the local hospital (Brans little sister) whose god a back bone and knows what she wants
-they grew up together, few years apart and Boo has always wanted Sam, he just didn’t really give himself space to explore that bc she was always Brans little sister, one of the close knit group of them, and one of his best friends. But, something changes and makes him realize he’s tired of not going for it. He’s gonna shoot his shot.
-Malibu has some alpha vibes but their kinda low key. Sam is the one with the desire for role playing and she feels like she can finally try CNC with someone when her and Malibu start seeing each other.
-CNC /primal role play. This is the discovery type more than the books that the H is just aggressive and takes what he wants and the h figures out she kinda likes it. Sam knows this is what she wants and Malibu wants to try to give her what she needs even though he’s not fully on board. This kind of goes through the process of him accepting he is into it, how that makes him feel to “hurt” the one person he loves, how Sam feels asking for this taboo kink and how she helps H through his feelings. It’s planned before their “sessions” and there’s a safe word but it’s never used.
-steammmyyyyy and Dirty talking… 🥵 Man once we get into their physical moments…. Wheeewweee.. it was HOT!
-CNC/primal
-collars/leases
-degradation
-toys
-spitting in h mouth
-slobber and tears from the being choked
-breath play..
-water play?? Idk if that’s what it’s called but he holds her head underwater when she 💦 and it was intriguing!

The friends to lovers story was cute and it was nice to see the other side characters, (( I never read who ever book 2 was about but I didn’t feel lost )) but honestly I was here for that CNC

Malibu aka my favourite Golden retriever with a dark side

With force was deceiving in the most wonderful way. I was completely convinced it was going to be a light & fluffy romance. There are definitely aspects of that but the deeper underlying connection between Sammy & Malibu is anything but light & fluffy... I don't typically read friends to lovers/brothers best friend tropes as i find they can be predictable. But the dynamic between Sammy & Malibu couldn't have been predicted... I was caught off guard in the most wonderful way. That is why I loved this book and their story.

It does contain some Cnc scenes and they were unique & so well written. There is one specific scene and I had never read anything remotely close to it. Holy hell... I love it when books give me ideas.

Oh my heart. Well, more like my ovaries. Because this book and Mally had them exploding all over the place. I knew I would love him when it came his turn to tell his story. Mally was always the fun loving, silly cop friend to all the guys. The one that loved to have a good time and find trouble among the ladies. But little did we know his heart has only belonged to one lady and bigger than any of the guys. I truly believe he is the most romantic of the group.

This story was hot. So freaking hot. Like whoa whoa whoooa hot. I devoured the romance and the sizzling deliciousness that was everything Samantha and Mally. I couldn’t get enough of their taboo kink and their forbidden romance. Jane seriously went there and more with it.

But their story is absolutely, 100% so much more than their kink. It went above all that. They truly are amazing together as a couple and it was refreshing to see them talk about the things they want from one another and out of their relationship. Communication is key with any relationship and I adored how they kept an open line between each other.

WITH FORCE was an amazing, well written story full of romance, smut and heart. What more could you ask for in a story? 5 Stars!! (I’d give a million if I could.)

I was cracking UP

Pfffttttt i loved this book! I loved the book with violet and van (book 1 where violets bloom) which led me to this one! This was different and amazing on its own too!

- friends to lovers. Hes known and loved her since they were young 😍😍😍
- consentual non c0n (better than others I've read of this trope because the scenes were well WELL done!
- dirty talkung, b&tt sp@nking, smexxuel toy pl@ying scenes jaysus 😳😂😂
- apittingg in her mouf and telling her to take whatever he gives her. 👀😏👀😳😳👀
- references to Brenda and Brandon and if you dont know.....I don't know what to tell ya but that had me smiling like a loonie 😂😂
- references to winnie cooper from the wonder years was cracking me up 😂😂😂😍
- how H reacts to the smell of a newborn baby oh maaaa gaahhhh 😍😍😍😍😂
- Hes a cop. I love reading about hot cops
- he tells her he's watching p0rn and was edging for an hour straight and shes just like mmhmmm okur. 😂😂😂😂😏

I love the mix of humor and realness to this book and it was so refreshing after reading a book that rhymes with "pod of percy". Now I'm wondering if I need to read her brothers story bran (his name is really Brian but....they gave him that nickname) and Elsie 😁

This is an arc review but all opinions are my own.
This is by far one of my favourite reads of the year, this book had everything! It had amazing banter and chemistry between the two MC. The smut was by far a 5/5 for me and it was so well balanced and one of my favourite books with cnc. The author also portrayed such healthy discussions about sexual needs in a relationship.
The author did an amazing job and I could write a book on why I loved this book so much.

⚠️THIS BOOK CONTAINS CNC ROLEPLAY. PLEASE DO NOT READ IF THAT IS NOT YOUR THING⚠️

This is kind of my first book by Daisy. I had started Stray when I first stumbled upon her but got halfway through before having other priorities take precedence.

This is the third in the Men of Paradise series and while you do get the background of the side characters in the other two books it is not necessary to read them. Daisy does an amazing job filling in about past plots and past characters.

Mally is amazing. He loves his best friends sister and has been fighting the feelings because he was unsure of how Bran would react.

Sammy has loved Mally from afar, even as the little annoying girl that Bran and his friends had to watch over. She never thought he’d return the feelings and so she kept them to herself. Her internal struggle with a secret desire has her questioning relationships her whole life. But she finally feels comfortable enough to expose herself to Mally.

H a cop, another problematic cop (the first book in this series deals with a problematic cop). A cop that makes the reader scream in their head "ACAB!!!" I have no problem with books where the H being a cop...when they're good cops. He's an awful cop who will trick people he's supposed to be protecting, I mean he's awful. Throughout his narration I was rolling my eyes due to me disliking him SO much.
The h was alright, but I didn't understand what she saw in this douche. I didn't buy into their 'love'. So it's a DNF for me. I disliked the H so much I don't want him to have a happily ever after, so why should I read about his happily ever after? First DNF from this author.
Her writing is good--hence the two stars. And this is supposed to be a dark romance. I get that. But cops that are the type to plant drugs/weapons??? NO. No no no no. They don't get a happily ever after in my romance novels. DNF.

TLDR - didn’t like the characters at first but loved them (and the smut) at the end -

Okay so I added this book for the kinks I knew were involved and this definitely didn’t disappoint. Let’s start with the beginning, I found the MMC so cringey and gross at the start, but! as I got to know him better I actually liked those aspects of him because it made sense with his upbringing and insecurities so noooooow if I reread it I think I’ll love the start. The FMC was likeable all throughout. I honestly liked her for the same reasons I the MMC did.

Diving in as the last book in this series (yes I skip books, shoot me) it was a tad confusing in the beginning. I’ve skipped books a few times and so far this is the only one that’s actually had me wanting to skim the previous books just to figure out what was going on. It definitely didn’t help that each side character had like 3 nicknames and the little starting cheat sheet was not something I was gonna memorise.

There isn’t an overarching plot to backup the romance portion this story is purely about the relationship. I’ve got no issue with that just purely an FYI

Okay so here we go. The romance in this was cute. Fast, but cute. I think the MMC’s insecurities made it much yummier and countered the quick pace of it all. And the smut, hot damn. Sometimes a book just does all the things I like for smut. This book did everything except one and honestly I was amazed that the author had the ability to shock me with how far the two characters went in their kink dynamic. I sometimes worry I’ll hate a CNC book when I read dark romance but this one does it really well. I honestly swoon at the romance of trusting the other person in that way. I expected to find the scenes cringey but instead they were super hot and I just kept highlighting over and over.

Overall I fricken loved this book and how hot it was even if I didn’t get eeeeverything I wanted in it. Characters were still cute.

Oh! Almost forgot, despite loving a smutty epilogue I was sort of bummed it didn’t take a different direction or even have a second epilogue a few years later because I wanted to see something specific with that too

Mally grew up with Sammy and was always around due to being friends with her brother. He’s been in love with her for as long as he can remember and she has no idea. Mally decides to slowly start showing his affection and Samantha quickly picks up on it and finds herself catching feelings. The go where their attraction leads them and Samantha ends up confessing about having a gRape kink that she’s never told anyone about but thinks Mally would be the perfect man for it.

I enjoyed the relationship between the characters although 95% of the time it seemed like lust way more than love. Mally was constantly hard and Samantha was constantly wet and daydreaming about him.

I almost dnf’d when Mally said tucking a girls hair behind their ear for them always seemed a bit too beta for him 🤮 it’s like he was written by a man. He constantly talked about how muscular he is and one time they had sex and then immediately after he asked her if she wanted to watch porn. 🤢 I only kept reading for the CNC scenes and they were okay. I enjoy degradation a lot but one thing I cannot stand is the MMC calling the FMC a bitch in any form. Whore, slut, cum dumpster, etc: I’m cool with. But he called her a stupid bitch during one of their role play scenes and that pulled me straight back to reality.

If none of the things above bother you then definitely give this book a shot especially if you’re a CNC girly!

I love this. The 2 MCs already know each other so there's none of that getting to know you storyline to wade through. H is already in love with h and it doesn't take long for him to realize He wants her for real, for good, forever. He sets to getting her and even though He took his sweet time (okay, I was impatient!) He does it so sweetly and He is so freaking swoony. I love Christian so much!
But Sammy has secret taboo needs and she's afraid to tell Him. When she does, it's so refreshing how Christian reacts to it and how they react to it together as a couple. They are mature adults who work through their needs and wants and any miscommunications that occur while they do that. It was amazing! This is one of my favorites reads this year. 5 stars

I'm giving this 4 stars despite struggling with the kink somewhat (CNC in a D/s dynamic is more my preference)

Mally and Sam are great characters and I definitely believed in the bond between them. Their discussion about kink was very realistic and mature and I loved how they resolved their issues.

One review mentioned his hesitancy to get rough at first 'ruined it' for them, but I'm sorry, if a guy jumps to fulfil your r*pe fantasy without asking about your limits or anything else, you should be concerned IMHO.

A little bit of realism in romance shouldn't be a deal-breaker, so kudos for Daisy Jane for bringing this one to life so well.

Partner cop of cop from book #1 x little sister of guy from book #2 (gym owner).

Cop decides he's pined too long and starts to gently go for it. She picks up the signals and they start a maybe relationship.

Once they are together, she confesses that she wants it super rough and is interested in serious CNC and primal.

He's conflicted. They both talk to friends. They go for it and love it.

They schedule the "let's tell my brother" friends dinner. And two days before, after an intense session, they are on the kitchen floor and brother walks in.

I'm still confused as to how the 4yo in the last book was 9 in this book, but mom is still pregnant with baby from end of previous book?!?!? That bothered me a bunch.

This book exceeded all expectations! The mmc and fmc have a really great relationship fuelled with quick wit and effortless humour that made reading it so much more enjoyable. This book was the perfect mix of plot and smut. Having read cnc before I had an idea of to what to expect but the author really managed to set her book apart from the rest with her attention to detail. Writing about more taboo desires in such a healthy way was refreshing to read. The author very clearly writes about establishing trust between partners and how to practice kinks safely. There is so much that made this book a five star read. I can’t recommend it enough!

Holy….what did I just read?! I think I need to keep a fan nearby the next time I read a Daisy Jane novel! I loved the chemistry and banter between not only Sammy and Mally but all of the characters. The seggsy scenes are intense (definitely read trigger and content warnings) but it just added to the whole dimension of the book. It wasn’t the focus of the book but the feelings behind it all. The cnc trope had me nervous but this was so well done. I’m still so mind-blown by it all…

I hated the mmc with a passion and should have closed the book after the way he talked about himself in the first chapter

No issue with the mfc, didn’t get much for her, the only issue I have is that she liked the mmc

The Perfect End To Another Amazing Daisy Jane Series

I've said it time and again, Daisy Jane is the perfect author for me...she writes what I like, the length of her books is my personal favorite, and when tropes/topics are on my nope list, she still gets me to read and enjoy more than I ever thought.

I really didn't think CNC was for me, I dreaded reading this...but leave it to Daisy to write it in a safe, sane, consensual, and loving way. I've learned never to doubt her writing skill.

It really worked for Sam and Mally, it fit who they were and the dynamic they had.

I also love that the Paradise family was center in this book like all the previous. They've really grown and bonded throughout the series and they've become a true family.

I'm sad to see this series go, it pushed my reader boundaries so much...and I loved each and every story, I couldn't possibly pick a favorite.

!!! Great !!!

Best friends sister trope is a favorite of mine and this one has a bonus of being a friends to lovers too. Mally/Malibu and Sammy have been friends nearly their whole lives and have been through the highs and lows of life together. I loved the playfulness of Mally’s character and I loved Sammy’s independence; no weak female leading lady here!
This book pushed the limits on taboo for me and I loved it! I’ve read plenty of CNC before and this pushed the boundary’s and it’s probably now my favorite CNC trope book because of how well the author wrote out the scenes (catch the plural there?!).
The steam in this book - you aren’t even ready. So. Good. The chemistry between these two is off the charts.
The book is a part of a series but reads as a stand alone perfectly.

This is the 3rd book in the series so there is an established friend group. You see a lot of the other couples involved in this story. They are a tight knit group.

Mally and Sammy are great together. I like that it is Sammy pushing for Mally to explore her kink with her and she reassures him every time he feels unsure.

Great aftercare scenes from both sides.

holy moly

It may be summer here in the south, but the heat has definitely been cranked up with this one.
Dubious/NC really is a fine art, too much and it becomes too much, and too little is like a really long edge, but DJ really hit the nail on the head in this one.
I’ve been waiting for Malibu’s book since I read the original MOP, Van, and I have exactly zero disappointment.
Blew ALL of my expectations right out of the water, with what started off as a friends/best friends sister to lovers, and ended up scorching the pages of my kindle.
If y’all aren’t watching this author, you need to be. She’s coming in HOT.
