Laura (Lo) Blacklock, a British travel writer, is awakened one night by a noise and discovers a burglar ransacking her flat. She's completely shaken by the experience and looks forward to her next assignment which takes her out of town. She'll be aboard a week long inaugural cruise of the Norwegian fjords on an elite ship with just ten cabins. She's given Cabin 9 and when she knocks on the door of Cabin 10 to borrow some mascara, it's answered by a young woman.

From the book jacket: Lo Blacklock, a journalist who writes for a travel magazine, has just been given the assignment of a lifetime: a week on a luxury cruise with only a handful of cabins. The sky is clear, the waters calm, and the veneered, select guests jovial as the exclusive cruise ship begins her voyage in the North Sea. At first, Lo’s stay is nothing but pleasant. this book, when I sat down to read it I did not expect to read almost straight through and finish in record time! I was expecting a thriller and it starts out chilling enough...........and never really stops. But what a ride this book was, parts of it I was just shaking my head saying this is too wild, unbelievable, what a crazy story! yet I kept reading wanting to see where it would head next. the book is absolutely FULL of surprises and I await her next book.

Lots of twists and turns in this one, but I only gave it *4 STARS* because I felt like it dragged in places. I remember thinking, "just get to it already". Then the ending got me all energized again. I thought that it was a great story, very sensational with the plot, but that dragging really took away form the story, in my opinion.
