Usually I don't go pick books about Zombies , but with the movie coming up and all the hype about it ,I was curious to read it myself. after reading it I can't say it became a favorite of mine, cos If I picked a book where Zombies and Emotions are involved ,then my choice will be still
"Warm Bodies" by Issac Marion for sure....

About the Girl with all the gifts: May include Spoilers
The plot is a so so , It didn't reach the point when I was leafing through the pages, and I kinda wanted to finish it and be done, the Plot is AFTER the Apocalypse , the cause is known but there is still no cure, it focuses on three adults and a kid, and weird enough the "infected" kid is the most reasonable of them all. if showed anything is how adults can act stupid and irrational, and mostly are self involved, and selfish, also that humans WILL be humans -bad habits included-even in the middle of a Zombie siege.

focusing on those four protagonists, and how every one is prioritizing his/her values was interesting, and how it is twisted from each angle, long story short is showed the ugly truth of the human-being.
away from the philosophical point of view, the factor of emotional twist did NOT do it for me, ya I liked Melanie and sympathized with her but that was about it,but that was about it, ,I didn't like miss J that much, I think I liked Parks most of all, he was the most honest character and he won my respect. and as for the thriller in the plot ,I think it was a plateau till the last few pages, when the climax was ok, though it kept reminding me of King's Children of the corn, and Golding's Lord of the flies some how...

over all not a bad novel, but wont be my first on the list of Zombie themed books...
