The opening chapter felt really strong, but the rest of the book just didn't satisfy the setup for me. It might have just been as simple as the subject matter not being a good match for my reading preferences. The book certainly does pose questions that make you think deeply, What would I do if that were me? But the philosophical questions the book raises outshine the plot or characters themselves, IMHO.
