Shadow Minister for Gozo Alex Borg, has said that several people, both Maltese and Gozitan, have spoken to him regarding the fact that during certain events held in Valletta and vice-versa in Gozo, such as tonight’s New Year festivities, special fast ferry trips are usually made.
However, “it seems that so far there is no indication that these trips will take place this evening,” he said.
“It would be good if these special fast ferry crossings were performed. Therefore, I urge the authorities to listen to this appeal,” said Alex Borg.

Not much point if Malta Public Transport do not add extra services from Mgarr as well otherwise you walk or pay a crazy price for a cab if you can find one. Extra buses to Cirkewwa so why not Mgarr?
