Coral Essex Vase Ante-post and heats
Joe Conneely and Jonathan Hobbs sat down this morning to go over the superb card at Romford this evening. Watch below.
Nottingham open action
Two standard contests in the Midlands this evening.
Just two standard this evening but it could still be a decent night for Monmore trainer Esther Driver. Slippy Thriller and Hopes Ompaloompa are drawn on opposite sides of the track in their respective heats but the pair both look of serious interest.
BGBF Puppy Cup
The Cat One event starts tomorrow night at Oxford.
Six heats kick off at 7.31 with 31 of the 36 spaces in the competition filled. Romeo Cypher won the race last year for David Mullins who fields seven pups this time around.
Rose Draper on the Gone To The Dogs Podcast
The latest podcast was released this morning with new license holder Rose Draper the guest.
The discussion goes from the Draper dynasty being passed on to the next generation to the work that Rose does with Sheffield Retired Greyhounds. Gail May joins Dani Jackson for this one.
Green doubles up at Hove
The final two contests produced a quick fire brace for the kennel.
Ballymac Kinga and Joes Sagar were the pair to win for Belinda Green. The former has not been a regular winner but made the semis of the Gold Collar at Crayford in the autumn, so was not winning out of turn. The latter was a Coronation Cup finalist last year and made it 2/2 in 2025 after an A1 win on Saturday.
Mossrich Kylie continued her hot patch for Derek Knight, her 515m success was her fourth in her last five starts. The defeat came at the hands of Champion Stakes runner-up Noirs News in an A1.
The shortest price on the night was Innfield Rocket for Seamus Cahill. He has now won four straight and five of his last six. De Pan Handler scored in the six bend contest for Claude Gardiner.
Foster celebrates winner with a Mojito
Three open races at Swindon last night.
Two of those were over four bends with Snaffi Mojito the quicker of the two winners. Paul Foster’s girl spent a lot of 2024 running into some smart types at the track but did manage to pick up a pair of open race wins herself. A smart exit saw her always in control, scoring in 28.12.
Newinn Bliss was only nine spots behind her when winning for Angie Kibble. Three wins in her last six open races at the track, she has produced back-to-back sub four second sectionals.
The six bend contest went to Barry Johnson’s Chelms Jean. She was the fifth fastest in 2024 over the 682m distance when splitting Hopiehopiehopie and Beach Babe in July. She beat a classy field in gutsy style despite being ignored in the betting.
