It is nothing to be concerned about.
The cotyledons only purpose in life is to protect the growing tip as it pushes up through the soil.
After this they, shrivel up, die and fall off.
They have no bearing on the health or growth of the plant.
The serrated leaves are the first true leaves, the rounded cotyledons are only "protection covers" for the growing tip and play no part in the plants life once it emerges from the soil.

I would not stress over it. The first leaves are there for protection to sprout, and supply energy for first week before nutrients start.

Organoman is correct..
I see no evidence that it’s the coating between shell and cotyledon..
That said - it’s REALLY hard to make assessments when photos are taken such as this, under blurple grow lights.
In the future, cut the light off and use the light from the room or another softer source.. even your flash from phone in the dark is better than this.

Hey Growmie,
What your seeing is some of the skin that was inside the shell stuck to the cotyledon, it has nothing to do with the LED, and your young seedling will be fine from this.

Deficiency or over overfertilization? HELP!My 2 Afghan Pearls are seam to be suffering from either deficiency or over overfertilization; I can clearly see brighter spots on their leafs that I don't have on any of the amnesias.
They all have identical conditions – same soil, same, nutes, same tent, same all!
Any clues?

What's causing the leaves to lighten?It's day 10 and the first set of leaves are starting to lighten in colour.
Is this related to Cal-mag, bleaching from light, or possibly nitrogen?
Using FFOF with PH'd tap water adding Cal mag. Mars Ts1000 at 30" on 55%.

From looking into several Special-Kush #1 grows, it appears it may could come from this strains genetics - although I'm absolutely not sure about that.
For the sake of it i ordered a PH-pen - for now I'll stick to my PH stripes.

Seedling diagnosesThese seedling are 10 days old but have slowed in growth and appear droopy. They are in promix hp with perlite 18/4 lighting roughly 76 degrees 55-60% rh. Watering daily @6.1 ph 220ppm due to the heaters drying the mediumand cardboard containers. Don't think its overwater but idk
