"If you have not tried Mama's Gooey Butter Cake you are missing out. It is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. I went yesterday to get chicken fried steak which was perfectly seasoned and cooked as always, and I thought I would try something new on the dessert menu. I had been eyeing Mama's Gooey Butter Cake the past few visits, and man do I wish I'd gotten it sooner. My new favorite dessert."

"Came in on Saturday afternoon and Silvia was our server. She was very nice and attentive and made sure all of our food was fresh. The cornbread was really good, so were the fried pickles. I ordered the chicken fried steak medallions and my wife ordered the fried fish. Great atmosphere and Silvia made us want to come back. We definitely will be back."

"We stepped in for an early lunch. We were seated promptly and greeted quickly. We started with Fried Pickles and they were crispy and tasty. Our meals came out soon after, before we could out a dent in our appetizer. Everything in the main course just seemed lukewarm. It did have a great taste to it, just wish it seemed a bit more fresh. The broccoli and cheese casserole was my favorite dish of the experience. Overall great meal and portions for the price."

"We had lovely service. We ordered the smaller sized meals for $10, and those were a great deal! Just the right amount of food. My mom and I both found everything to be seasoned, not blah, and very tasty. I had chicken fried steak jr, fried okra, and squash bake. The menu didn't offer fried okra, but I'm glad our server mentioned it because it was hot, crispy, and delicious."

"This restaurant use to be good, but I was really unimpressed tonight. Service is super slow, food isn’t good at all even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. I definitely wouldn’t return again. The kid’s spaghetti is honestly a joke— neither of my kids would eat it. The noodles were pretty crunchy despite being told that we had to wait an extra 10+ minutes for the kids spaghetti. The Mac and cheese is just nasty— the mashed potatoes seemed old and were a total miss, same with the french fries. The chicken Alfredo was okay, but nothing I’d come back for same with the chicken fried chicken— definitely a below average establishment. The floors and chairs were super sticky. We were in the area from another town & I really wish we’d of picked a better restaurant for dinner."
