halberdrejoyceth With this album Häxenzijrkell are changing up their usual sound slightly by inclusion of more black metal riffing while keeping the high quality. But by inclusion of the final track ÆON the entire listening experience is raised to yet another astral plane, as if
finally stepping through the Portal. Favorite track: ÆON.

Sælzer Bub Portal ist das dritte und zugleich düsterste Werk von Häxenzijrkell. Wieder gibt es anspruchsvollen, schwarz angehauchten Doom der Extraklasse; so wie man es von dieser Ausnahmeband gewohnt ist. Besonders Æon ist ein kleiner fieser garstiger Brocken geworden. Die Drums lassen einem einen kalten Schauer über den Rücken laufen und das Gitarrenspiel ist wieder perfekt in Szene gesetzt. Die Vocals sind wie gewohnt zum niederknien; ganz gleich ob die Screams/Growls oder die gesprochenen Passagen. Favorite track: ÆON.

Avec Submission And Slavery, il fait un immense bond dans le temps mais reste rétro, passant de l'ère romantique du XIXe siècle aux thèmes gothiques des années 80.
