    Why You'll Love this Recipe

Dare I say this easy treat is the best milkshake you’ll make at home. Nutella is good enough to eat out of the jar, but this recipe takes it to the next level. Tame your sweet tooth and make the best milkshake made with delicious hazelnut spread.

    • A simple recipe made with only 3-ingrediens. Dessert doesn’t get easier than that!
    • Chocolate and hazelnut will quickly become one of your favorite flavors of milkshake recipes.
    • Kids will have so much fun helping make this easy treat.

    Ingredients

Ingredients: two jars of Nutella stacked on top of each other, a pint of chocolate ice cream, and a jug of milk.
    • Milk – full-fat milk, like whole milk, will give this milkshake a super creamy texture and a classic milkshake consistency.
    • Nutella - or any chocolate hazelnut spread.
    • Ice cream – this Nutella shake can be made with chocolate, vanilla, or hazelnut ice cream depending on your flavor preference.
    • Blender - my favorite blender is the NutriBullet, or you can use a Milkshake Maker.

How to Make a Nutella Milkshake

This ultimate Nutella milkshake recipe is prepared with simple ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen.

To make this Nutella milkshake recipe, you only need minimal ingredients and a blender. This milkshake can be made in less than 5 minutes, so you don’t have to wait long when the craving hits! This delicious treat is one of my favorite things to drink on a summer afternoon.

Step 1: Add milk, ice cream, and Nutella to the blender. Find exact measurements in the recipe card.

Step 2: Blend ingredients for 20-30 seconds until smooth.

Step 3: Pour the creamy milkshake into a chilled glass and top with any additional toppings.

    Pro Tips

    • The amount of milk you add will change the consistency, so if you like a thicker milkshake use less milk and more milk for a thinner milkshake.
    • Let your ice cream sit for a minute on the counter to soften up and make it easier to scoop.
    • Chill the glass in the freezer for about 10 minutes, or while making the milkshake, for an extra cold treat. I like to serve this delicious Nutella milkshake in these old fashioned milkshake glasses, it makes it feel more special than a regular glass.

    Swaps & Substitutions

    • Ice cream of choice: Vanilla ice cream allows the nuttiness of the Nutella flavor to come through more, while chocolate ice cream gives a more intense chocolate flavor.
    • Make this a dairy-free milkshake by using dairy-free milk, such as almond milk, and dairy-free ice cream. Nutella has skim milk powder in its ingredients, so you may want to purchase this dairy free Nutella-like spread for a completely dairy free milkshake.
    • Add some more flavor! Throw half a banana into the blender to make a Nutella banana milkshake. Or try adding a spoonful of peanut butter for a peanut butter Nutella milkshake.
    • Milkshake topping ideas: fresh strawberries, whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles, chocolate sauce, or crushed hazelnuts.
