Our Commitment
At a baseline, we do not discriminate against anyone based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, national origin, age, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, veteran status, genetic information, or any basis protected by law. We shine brightest and our clients receive the best results when everyone can bring their authentic selves and experiences to their work.
We’re committed to using our collective voices, experiences and relationships to confront biases while advancing diversity, equity and inclusion at Hodges and within our industry for underrepresented communities.
For inclusion to be realized, we must prioritize equity.
Here’s what you can expect from us:
OPPORTUNITIES
We’re developing externships, shadowing programs, and school partnerships to open doors and introduce students to PR careers. When hiring, we work to publicize job openings to diverse candidates.
Advocacy
As communications consultants, we influence policies, messaging and community relations. We’ll push clients to embed DEI in their business objectives and connect them with DEI experts.
Authenticity
We foster a safe space for team members, clients and guests. Our DEI training calendar ensures ongoing learning, and we encourage sharing DEI content internally.
Volunteering
We’re giving back. Many team members volunteer and serve on boards, and we’re implementing service days where we can support Richmond causes together.
Partnership
We prioritize diverse vendors and advocate for pay equity. That means ensuring they receive our highest billable hourly rate or their preferred pricing on projects.
