And according to Ludacris, it is one of the main reasons why we keep getting a new installment to the franchise. Since 2001, there have been nine mainline movies, one spinoff, and two shorts produced for fans across the planet. There has even been an animated series created called, ‘Fast and Furious: Spy Racers.’

He said, “I hear people say all the time, ‘Why do y’all keep doing these movies?’ That’s the dumbest f–king question in the world. Imma tell you why. Because no matter what industry we in, podcast, music, movies, it’s all about a bottom line. It’s all about how much you spend compared to how much you make. We’re making billions of f***ing dollars and I’m saying that like I’m just giving you my heart. I’m not trying to brag or nothing. If you spend $200 million and you make a billion, who the f**k is you going to tell to stop shooting movies when you making $800 motherf***ing million dollars every time?”

According to IndieWire, the latest F&F installment, ‘Fast X,’ has already grossed $319 million worldwide, making it the third-highest grossing box office opening for the F&F series, following ‘Fate of the Furious ($541.9 million), and ‘Furious 7‘ ($397.6 million), per Deadline.
