For years my kiddos have been begging me to set up a second tree that was more “FUN” as they put it. 🙂 So I thought what could be more FUN than peppermints and Candy Canes!
When the tree was done, the kids approved, but I still think they prefer the little trees in their rooms that they can decorate to their hearts’ content…LOL 🙂

I am thrilled with how it turned out. The red and white striped ornaments make it come alive. My kids favorite part is the over sized Candy Canes! I found pretty much everything on this tree from Tai Pan and Michaels and of course I pulled from older elements I already owned like the berries and some of the bulbs.
Christmas to me just doesn’t feel like Christmas without RED decorations!
I love that I now have it in my basement. The decor is made up of traditional reds and greens.
But upstairs the decor is a soft color pallet with flocked evergreen everywhere you look!
The Perfect Balance for our little cottage! 🙂

That is an adorable tree!!! I love how big everything is. I just bought some big balls for my tree but they look weird, maybe it's because all my other decorations are small.
