Our Approach

According to Indian yogic tradition, human is made up of five elements (earth, water, fire, air and space).  These five  elements are represented in specific areas of the body which correspond to chakras along the spine.  A person is healthy when the chakras are in balance and prana properly flows in the nadis (body channels).

The objective of our private yoga therapy practice is to bring the chakras into balance and the proper flow of prana in the nadis.

We design proper sequences for different stages of the healing process.   In this way, a student can practice step by step according to specific health issues and body conditions.

Different props are used in the practice to address issues arising from injuries, spine misalignment, weaknesses in body parts or specific body structures.

Our yoga therapy sessions are in one-on-one settings. The teacher will assess each student’s body conditions and design a personal program. Each student will receive a home practice sequence.

Self-practice can improve a student’s awareness and allow reflection on one’s own experience. This will help build up a strong mind to adopt a change in lifestyle. A healthy lifestyle will in turn support the healing process and reap faster results.
