One of the few hotels in this area that offer parking on site. Since we were going to the airport the next morning, that was a convenient option. We received two welcome drinks which was so nice and unexpected. We were on the seventh floor, and the noise was completely blocked which made for a good nights sleep.

Built on seven hills facing the Tagus River, charming Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in the world. It showcases unique tram rides, intimate Fado performances, great dining venues and much more.
The city is famous for its districts: Belem's famous monuments; Alfama's labyrinth of streets, bars and small shops; and trendy Alcantara's docks. Lisbon’s most popular nightlife and shopping venues are in Bairro Alto, while the traditional heart of the city beats rhythmically in Baixa.
Enjoy a walk through Jardim Botanico, admire the architecture of the Jeronimos Monastery or explore the Feira da Ladra flea market. The Chiado area serves the city's best traditional Portuguese cuisine. No meal is complete without the famous pasteis de nata!
Getting to the city center is only a metro or bus ride from Lisbon Portela Airport. Whether you want a luxury hotel, a friendly guesthouse or a cozy apartment, Booking.com has plenty of accommodations for your vacation in Lisbon.

Lisbon is a great city and should not be passed up while in Portugal. The old city is bustling with energy and history. While in Lisbon take a day trip to Sintra.
Personally I prefer Porto as it is less hectic and less crowded. No matter where you go in Portugal, the people are extremely friendly.
From a food standpoint, I thought the food was ok, some places better than others. If you have been to France, Italy or Belgium or Barcelona, you will probably find the food a little less imaginative and lacking culinary sophistication.
That being said, Portugal should not be missed.

The old town was very hilly and you need good legs! It was also very crowded. A highlight was watching cars, tuktuks and trams negotiate each other and pedestrians in the very narrow cobbled streets. I am sure it would be less fun in a car!

Lisbon was an absolute gem—beautiful, vibrant, and incredibly affordable compared to other major European cities. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by how much you could experience without breaking the bank. The food was unbelievably cheap yet delicious, whether it was a fresh pastel de nata for less than a euro, a hearty bifana sandwich, or a full meal with seafood and wine at a fraction of the price you’d pay elsewhere. Public transport was super budget-friendly, with trams, metro, and even Uber rides costing way less than in other capitals. The accommodations, whether hotels or Airbnbs, were very reasonably priced, especially considering the quality you get. Plus, the city itself felt like an open-air museum—stunning tiled buildings, breathtaking miradouros (viewpoints) offering panoramic views, and historic neighborhoods like Alfama and Bairro Alto full of life, music, and charm. Even activities like visiting castles in Sintra or taking a scenic train ride to Cascais were super affordable. Whether you’re exploring on foot, hopping on a tram, or just soaking in the atmosphere at a cheap but amazing café, Lisbon proves you don’t need to spend a fortune to have an unforgettable trip.

A very beautiful city with many attractions.
A very beautiful city with many attractions. Even at the beginning of March, there are a lot of tourists. You either stand in line or book tickets in advance for the attractions. Don't miss the cruise on the Tagus River, it's well worth the price! Public transport is also excellent, although the timetable only exists on paper. It's worth buying a day ticket, because you can use it on the metro, tram, bus, all funiculars and tram 28. The food was delicious everywhere, it's worth eating sea fish, they do it very well! There are a lot of steep and cobblestone streets and stairs, so make sure you have comfortable shoes!

One of my favourite cities. Beautiful.
One of my favourite cities. Beautiful. Jam packed with places to visit. Don't miss the museums, notably the Museum of Modern Art and the Gulbenkian Museum. Also, take a tram- and visit the oldest bookshop in the world. Take a Pastel de Nata (local delicacy- custard tart) and delicious coffee in one of the excellent cafes.

Lisbon is a beautiful and interesting city.
Lisbon is a beautiful and interesting city. It was much more crowded with tourists than it was when we came five years ago, but still a lovely city. The tile museum was very interesting and beautiful.

Everything went well. The hotel, accommodation and the staff were superb. I travel a few times a year and usually stay at the best 5 stars hotels. The stay at this one greatly exceeded my expectation. This was our first trip to Lisbon, Portugal and I have to say that my wife and I had a great stay. We do plan to visit Portugal again and do plan to stay at Lapa Palace hotel again.
The best part is value for money. Compare to other hotels on the same level it was cheaper, for a reason, but still provide a good value for money.
The room is big, the food in the breakfast buffet is okay, the staff is great and helpful.
The location is also great, as it is not in the city centre but very close to a metro station and in a safe and green area.
Location is great. The hotel is in a quiet zone of Lisbon but 5/10 minutes on foot from the center.
You also have luxury shops all around you. If you do not want to do breakfast in the hotel, around the corner there is a cafe where I had the best croissant I have had in a very long time.
An absolutely fabulous hotel in the heart of Lisbon. Staff were helpful, super friendly (even the night shift) and the facilities were excellent. Quite possibly one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! Congratulations to everyone at Browns Boutique Hotel, Lisbon.
Great staff always with a smile, friendly and helpful. Best breakfast buffet I saw until today in a 5 star hotel! Great SPA area and Pool on the rooftop!
