Rumours are circulating online that filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh is collaborating with actor Shahid Kapoor for his next project. This comes after Ghosh stepped down as the director of Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan-starrer 'King', which will now be directed by Siddharth Anand.
Reports now say that Shahid's team has responded to the rumours about the said collaboration. Ghosh is reportedly wants to work on a thriller film starring Shahid Kapoor and the production is likely to begin in 2025.
Ghosh is known for movies like Kahaani and Badla and he wanted to make another film with Shahid but couldn't due to scheduling problems.
"Shahid was interested in the script earlier, but the timing wasn't right. Now, both Sujoy and he are making it a priority to align their schedules and bring it to life," a source said per NDTV.
However, Shahid's team has reportedly denied the rumours of a collaboration. The actor is currently focused on two of his movies releasing in January 2025. First is 'Arjun Ustara' directed by Vishal Bharadwaj releasing on January 6 and second is 'Deva' directed by Rosshan Andrrews. The film also stars Pooja Hegde as the leading lady and will release on January 30.
Shahid is reuniting with Vishal Bharadwaj in Arjun Ustara, over 15 years after the film 'Kaminey' released in 2009.
