Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Januari hingga April 2013 di dua lokasi dengan elvasi yang berbeda yaitu kebun percobaan Balai Penelitian Tanaman Hias, Cipanas dan Cisarua. Materi genetik yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah benih-benih generasi M6 yang terdiri dari 30genotipe (5 genotipe M5-Dewata,3 genotipe M5-Selayar, 11 genotipe M5-Oasis, 4 genotipe M5-Rabe, 5 genotipe M5-Kasifbey, 2 genotipe M5-Basribey) dan enam varietas pembanding yaitu Dewata, Selayar, Oasis, Rabe, Kasifbey, dan Basribey. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan agroekosistem berpengaruh untuk budidaya gandum berpengaruh pada beberapa karakter yang diuji. Because of that the research was held in Tanjung Sari, Medan, Sumatera Utara (+ 25 m dpl.) on Maret until Juni 2010, used non factorial randomized block design, that is M3 populstion without radiation (P0), M3 population with radiation dossage 200 gray (P3). The parameters were height of plant, periode of flowering, periode of full pod filling, amount of leaf chlorophyl, periode of harvesting, amount of segment, amount of productive branch, amount of filled pod, weight of seed per plant, weight of 100 seeds and harvesting index. The result of this research showed that examined M3 population as radiation produc has height of plant fase V6 on P0 (25,88 cm) was significant with P1 (28,80 cm) and P3 (28,86 cm), then fase V7 on P0 (31,35 cm) was significant with P1 (35,25 cm) and P3 (34,41 cm), whereas on parameter periode of flowering, periode of full pod filling, amount of leaf chlorophyl, periode of harvesting, amount of segment, amount of productive branch, amount of filled pod, weight of seed per plant, weight of 100 seeds and harvesting index was unsignificant. Medium heritability value was on parameter weight of 100 seeds (0,221) while the minimum on harvesting index (0,073). The highest genetic progress value was on parameter periode of flowering (1,608) and periode of full pod filling (1,288).

The aims of the research were to obtain informations on performance, genetic variability and heritability of some agronomic characters of M5 wheat used augmented design. Genetic meterials evaluated consist of 98 M5 putative mutant lines and six varieties as check, namely: Dewata, Selayar, Oasis, Rabe, Kasifbey, dan Basribey. The research was conducted at Research Station of BALITHI, Cipanas. Data analysis revealed highly significant for traits observed among mutant lines and check varieties evaluated. High heritability estimates were observed for plant height, tiller number, days to flowering, days to maturity, spike lenght, spikelet number, unfilled grain number, seed number per spike, seed weight per spike, and seed weight per plant. The estimated genotypic coefficient of variation (GCV) were high for unfilled grain number and seed weight per plant. Based on seed weight per plant were selected 30 best putative mutant lines. Pohon karet pertama kali hanya tumbuh di Amerika Selatan. Perkebunan karet di Indonesia mulai diperkenalkan sejak tahun 1864, yaitu sejak Hofland mendirikan perusahaan perkebunan karet di Tanah Panunukan dan Ciasem, Jawa Barat. Serangan yang diakibatkan oleh penyakit Pestalotiopsis sp. menunjukkan bercak coklat pada daun karet dan adanya batas yang jelas antara bagian bercak dengan bagian daun yang masih sehat. Daun yang terinfeksi gugur sebelum waktunya. Umumnya yang terserang berat adalah tanaman karet yang sudah menghasilkan dan tidak terawat.

Palm oil (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) is Indonesia's leading and prime plantation commodity. The mai... more Palm oil (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) is Indonesia's leading and prime plantation commodity. The main products are palm oil (CPO) or palm kernel oil (KPO). Both of these products have high economic value and become one of the largest foreign exchange earners compared to other plantation commodities. Until now palm oil has been cultivated in the form of oil palm plantations and processing plants to become oil and derivative products. The study was carried out in the STIPAP greenhouse. The research period was 7 months, from September to March 2018. This research used Factorial 1 design with 3x replication, the number of polybags per treatment was 3. Parameter testing was arranged on the variance list and Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) was tested at level 5 %. The results showed that the DxP Avros variety had good adaptability to water stress, especially on stem diameter, leaf number, leaf area, amount of chlorophyll, number of roots, root length, number of stomata not significantly different between treatments A1, A2 and A3.

This plant produces vegetable oils that are important for the food industry and for fuel (biodiesel). Oil palm produces the highest oil unity of area compared to other types of plants with oil potential of around 6-7 tons/ha/year. The research was carried out in the greenhouse of the Plantation Agribusiness Institute of Higher Education (STIPAP). The study period was 6 months from September to March 2018. This study also used a non-factorial randomized block design with 3 times replication, the number of polybags per treatment was 3. Parameter tests were arranged on the variance list and Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) was tested level of 5%. The results of this study indicate that DyxP DUMPY varieties have good resistance to water stress. Dy×P Dumpy varieties were relatively more adaptable and gave better growth compared to other varieties in the condition of giving 1000 ml of water which was shown in observing the height increase of plants, increasing the number of leaves, increasing the diameter of the stem.

Penelitian iniber tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah cekaman air berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit serta melihat respon tingkat ketahanan bibit kelapa sawit terhadap cekaman kekeringan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dirumah kacakebun percobaan STIPAP Medan pada bulan Januari sampai dengan Juni 2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Non Faktorial terdiri dari 3 taraf, 3 sempeldan 3 ulangan. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, diameter pangkal batang, jumlah daun, bobot basah akar, bobot kering akar, bobot basah tanaman, bobot kering tanaman, volume akar, panjang akar, kerapatan stomata dan jumlah stomata. Hasilpenelitianmenunjukkanbahwapemberian air A1 (100%) berbeda nyata terhadap A2 (60%) dan A3 (20%) terhadap pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit terutama parameter tinggi bibit, bobot basah akar, bobot kering akar, bobot basah tanaman, bobot kering tanaman, volume akar, dan panjang akar. Sedangkan diameter pangkal batang, jumlah daun, kerapatan stomata dan jumlah stomata tidak nyata pengaruhnya. Cekaman kekeringan berdampak terhadap pertumbuhan diameter batang, jumlah daun.

Is a plant species that has good adaptability in various environments. As a well-adapted plant, palm oil is very tolerant of mismatches in its handling and its normal growth can recover quickly from stress due to planting movements, drought, fires and other disruptions. The saline soil is an unsuitable type of soil for the growth of oil palm crops. Utilization of humic acid as a mixed organic material for saline soil, humic acid in the soil can act as a source of nutrients, maintaining soil moisture, as a buffer by chlorizing the elements causing salinity to increase the availability of nutrients. The study was conducted in the nursery area. The study period was 5 months, from January to June 2017. This study used Factorial 2 with 3x replication, the number of polybags per treatment was 3. The parameters test were arranged on the real variance checklist, followed by continued analysis with Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) with a rate of 5%. The results showed that humic acid treatment on saline soil medium with DHL level ≥4 mmhos / cm can increase plant height growth, leaf area index, root volume, root dry weight and dry weight of crown.

Chlorophyll is one of the factors that can affect palm oil production. There are several other factors that affect the productivity of oil palm plants, namely climate, territorial shape, soil conditions, planting material, and cultivation techniques. Altitude (altitude) is one of the outside factors that affect production. Differences in altitude cause differences in productivity so that production data need to be analyzed and compared. Height differences cause differences in productivity so production data need to be analyzed and compared. This research was conducted in the Bah Birung Ulu PTPN IV in April-June 2018. This study aims to determine the effect of altitude in the highlands area the effect of the amount of leaf chlorophyll on the production of oil palm fruit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.). The method used is descriptive analytic method by processing secondary data (LM 76) and take leaf samples and measure chlorophyll content using chlorophyll meters. The results showed that in the highlands (Kebuna Bah Birung Ulu) had the highest production in 2006, amounting to 22,976 Ton / ha / year. The highest amount of chlorophyll of palm oil was found in the 2005 planting year, which was 80.5 CCI. The largest production of oil palm is in the 2006 planting year of 22,976 Ton / ha / year with 3,148 mm / year of rainfall.

This fungus can cause death, causing a decrease in the number of stands and palm oil production. One alternative to control Ganoderma boninense in palm oil is using the biological agent; ‘Trichoderma harzianum’. This research aimed to examine the inhibition of T. harzianum in various media on different spear leaves accumulations on G. boninense in palm oil plants. The research was arranged in a factorial randomized block design. The first factor was T. harzianum application with different media, the second factor was the accumulation of spear leaves on palm oil trees. The data from the observations were analyzed using the analysis of variance, followed by the DMRT at 5% level. The results of statistical tests showed that the application of T. harzianum in various media had no significant effect on the number of spear leaves at 1.5 months after application (MAA) and G. boninense mycelium at 3 MAA, but had a significant effect on the number of spear leaves at 3 MAA, G. boninense mycelium at 1.5 MAA, T. harzianum mycelium at 1.5 and 3 MAA and also significantly affected the root length at 1.5 and 3 MAA. The accumulation of spear leaves significantly affected at 1.5 and 3 MAA but had no significant effect on the observation of G.boninense mycelium, T. harzianum mycelium and the root lengths at 1.5 and 3 MAA. The interaction between T. harzianum in various media and the accumulation of spear leaves had a significant effect on decreasing the number of spear leaves at 1.5 MAA but had no significant effect on G. boninense mycelium, T. harzianum mycelium and the root lengths at 1.5 and 3 MAA. The application of T. harzianum, which was cultured in various media, was able to reduce the accumulation of spear leaves after 3 months of application. The lowest number of spear leaves was found in T. harzianum application with 25% OPEFB + 75% cow dung compost. The best of T. harzianum media in stimulating palm oil’s root growth was 50% OPEFB + 50% cow dung compost.

Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Proteksi Tanaman Balai Penelitian Sungei Putih Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Klon yang diuji dalam penelitian ini sebanyak tujuh klon karet seri IRR yaitu klon IRR 5, IRR 104, IRR 111, IRR 112, IRR 118, IRR 119, IRR 220 dan klon pembanding PB 260. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) non faktorial dengan tiga ulangan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa klon IRR 220 tergolong moderat rentan terhadap penyakit gugur daun Petalotiopsis, sedangkan klon IRR 5, IRR 104, IRR 111, IRR 112, IRR 118, IRR 119, IRR 220 dan PB 260 tergolong rentan terhadap penyakit gugur daun Pestalotiopis. The first rubber tree grew only in South America. Rubber plantations in Indonesia were introduced in 1864, since Hofland established a rubber plantation company in Tanah Panunukan and Ciasem, West Java. Attacks caused by Pestalotiopsis sp. showed brown spots on rubber leaves and a clear boundary between the spots and the healthy leaves. Infected leaves fall prematurely. Generally, those that are heavily attacked are rubber plants that have produced and are not maintained. Keunggulan Mucuna bracteata adalah pertumbuhannya cepat. Berdasarkan hal ini maka dilakukan penelitian analisa pertumbuhan Mucuna bracteata asal biji dengan beberapa jenis media tanam. Penelitian dilaksanakan di areal kebun praktek Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pertanian Agrobisnis Perkebunan (STIPAP) Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) non faktorial dengan perlakuan Jenis Media Tanaman yang terdiri dari 5 taraf dan 4 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan media tanam M1 (tanah top soil dicampur solid) merupakan media terbaik untuk parameter panjang sulur dengan hasil 148,75 cm, pertambahan jumlah daun dengan hasil 12 daun trifoliat, jumlah ruas dengan hasil 12 ruas dan panjang akar dengan hasil 37,11 cm.
