Environmental exposure to toxins in the air, water or certain chemicals can increase the risk of ill health effects, including to the human brain. Now, new research has shown even brief exposure to the world’s most used weed killer, glyphosate, can cause lasting damage to the brain, which may persist long after any direct exposure ends.
In the new study, Arizona State University researcher Ramon Velazquez and his team demonstrate that exposure to an active ingredient in weed and grass killers, called glyphosate, can result in significant brain inflammation, and increase the risk of neurodegenerative disease and Alzheimer’s-like effects.
Aside from being the “Hitler Youth” fascist front man for the anti-liberty, anti-gun propagandists of the Left, David Hogg also aligns with Monsanto, one of the most evil corporations in the world. In a recent televised interview (see video clips, below), David Hogg claims that atrazine herbicide doesn’t cause hormone disruption, speaking in lockstep with Monsanto, the anti-science pesticide chemical giant that spends millions of dollars a year funding “black ops” character assassins to defame critics of GMOs, glyphosate and atrazine.
David Hogg, who has arisen as a “Hitler Youth” fascist who demands the government take away the rights of Americans because he feels personally angry, attacked Infowars’ Alex Jones during a recent C-Span interview, falsely claiming that atrazine herbicide chemicals have no effect on hormone disruption in humans. (Yes, C-Span is now allowing an 18-year-old high school non-graduate to lecture America on science, if you can believe that…)

The conversation went on to imply that Alex Jones must be insane for thinking that chemical contaminants in the water supply might alter sex hormone expression in mammals — even though this has been exhaustively documented throughout the scientific and medical literature.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency lessened protections for crops and wildlife habitats after Monsanto supplied research that presented lower estimates of how far the weed killer dicamba can drift, according to a review of federal documents.
In its final report approving the usage of dicamba on soybeans, the agency expressed confidence that dicamba, new versions of which are made by Monsanto and German chemical company BASF, would not leave the field. The registration covered both herbicides, an EPA spokesperson said.
The European Commission has approved under the EU Merger Regulation the acquisition of Monsanto by Bayer. The merger is conditional on the divestiture of an extensive remedy package, which addresses the parties’ overlaps in seeds, pesticides and digital agriculture.
Commissioner Margrethe Vestager, in charge of competition policy, said: “We have approved Bayer’s plans to take over Monsanto because the parties’ remedies, worth well over €6 billion, meet our competition concerns in full. Our decision ensures that there will be effective competition and innovation in seeds, pesticides and digital agriculture markets also after this merger.
The European Union approved Bayer’s takeover of Monsanto, a major hurdle in the $66 billion merger that would create the world’s largest integrated seed and pesticide conglomerate.
The European Commission said the German chemical-maker’s takeover of the St. Louis-based agribusiness giant is “conditional on an extensive remedy package, which addresses the parties’ overlaps in seeds, pesticides and digital agriculture.”
The buyout was secured after Bayer offered to sell rival company BASF seeds, pesticides and digital agriculture technology, Bloomberg reported.
European Competition Commissioner Margrethe Vestager said in a statement: “We have approved Bayer’s plans to take over Monsanto because the parties’ remedies, worth well over €6 billion, meet our competition concerns in full. Our decision ensures that there will be effective competition and innovation in seeds, pesticides and digital agriculture markets also after this merger.”
A new peer-reviewed study published in Environmental Health on Friday has linked glyphosate levels with shortened pregnancy lengths, in the first ever study of glyphosate exposure in pregnant women in the U.S.. This study adds to the pressure on regulatory authorities to take action on the world’s most used herbicide.
This unique study was performed by scientists from the Indiana University Fairbanks School of Public Health, the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and the Indiana University School of Medicine.
The study conclusion states: “This is the first study of GLY [glyphosate] exposure in US pregnant women using urine specimens as a direct measure of exposure. We found that >90% of pregnant women had detectable GLY [glyphosate] levels and that these levels correlated significantly with shortened pregnancy lengths.”
In 2016 glyphosate was reported to be found in the urine of 93% of the American public during a unique testing project – The Detox Project – that started in 2015. The expert UCSF laboratory involved in testing for the Detox Project was also the lead laboratory for this latest study.

It was about one year ago in November 2016 that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved Monsanto’s weed killer, XtendiMax with VaporGrip Technology, a dicamba variety that is supposedly less prone to vaporization and drift, designed for use with genetically engineered (GE) dicamba-resistant seeds. The chemical was supposed to solve earlier problems caused by Monsanto’s dicamba-resistant crops, which were released before they received approval for the less drift-prone herbicide.
As a result, illegal dicamba formulations were used, and the resulting dicamba drift caused significant damage to cropland across the U.S. The newer dicamba, however, did not prove to be the panacea that Monsanto had promised, and by November 2017, an estimated 3.6 million acres across the U.S. had been damaged by dicamba drift,1 as had trees in Iowa, Illinois and Tennessee.
Numerous states launched measures to prohibit dicamba sprayings, farmers suffered financial losses and, in some cases, neighboring farmers turned against one another as crops were damaged by the drifting chemical.

The agri giant Monsanto, commonly known as the world’s most evil corporation, is now offering farmers cash in a desperate bid to distribute its XtendiMax with VaporGrip dicamba-based weed killer product. Reuters is reporting that Monsanto will be offering farmers refunds of over half the cost of the product in 2018, if they can prove that it was sprayed on soybeans known as Xtend, which have been specially engineered by the company to resist the toxic chemical.
These incentives are being offered even as the country is facing an agricultural crisis caused by dicamba-based products which evaporated and drifted away after being sprayed on crops.
Dr. Thierry Vrain, former genetic engineer and soil biologist with Agriculture Canada, spoke with us today about his concerns with genetically engineered crops (GMOs) and more importantly, the use of Glyphosate (RoundUp). Dr. Vrain’s background in the field of genetic engineering (for 30 years), makes him an expert on this gene technology. He explained how a cell is genetically engineered and what happens after this random insertion process through a gene gun and how it can have unknown effects.
Since leaving Agriculture Canada 12 years ago, he has learned much more about the process of genetic engineering and the BT process (insect resistant) and the HT (herbicide resistant) crops that make up about 500 million acres. His primary concern at this time is the widespread use of Glyphosate which is a powerful herbicide, mineral chelator and a patented antibiotic. Dr. Vrain stated when speaking about Glyphosate:
“It’s almost as if the entire population of North American is on a low-grade antibiotic diet day in day out from birth, everyday, so this is the reality.”
Monsanto thought they had developed an amazing scheme to corner the Midwest farming market when they developed new genetically engineered seeds that were resistant to their new herbicide called dicamba. The resistance of Monsanto’s new magical seed crops to dicamba meant that the herbicide could be sprayed liberally by farmers to eradicate weeds and boost yields.
Alas, as we pointed out last week (see: Meet Monsanto’s Other Herbicide Problem…), a small problem emerged when spray drifts from those liberal herbicide applications began to wipe out the crops of neighboring farmers who didn’t plant Monsanto’s dicamba-resistant seeds.
Now, as the Wall Street Journalpoints out today, after allegedly wiping out millions of acres of farm ground across the Midwest, Monsanto once again finds itself in a familiar spot: the courtroom.
Monsanto’s promises of a safe, “drift-free” dicamba have failed to materialize, as complaints have flooded into state agricultural departments across the country. So far this year, regulators have received nearly four years’ worth of complaints regarding dicamba-related crop damage.
So far, this year has not been very kind to Monsanto. First, collusion between Monsanto and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) was revealed, whereby the company worked in tandem with the federal agency to discredit independent research conducted by the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC). The IARC, in 2015, found that glyphosate – the key ingredient in Monsanto’s best-known product, Roundup — most likely causes cancer, a reality that Monsanto had secretly known for decades. Furthermore, Monsanto’s own head toxicologist, Donna Farmer, admitted that she “cannot say that Roundup does not cause cancer” as “we [Monsanto] have not done the carcinogenicity studies with Roundup.”
TUESDAY, Oct. 24, 2017 (HealthDay News) — Levels of the herbicide Roundup in human urine have increased dramatically among California residents in the past two decades, a new study reports.
Roundup (glyphosate) is used to protect genetically modified corn and soy crops from weeds and also is used on wheat and oats, said the study’s lead author, Paul Mills. He is a professor of family medicine and public health at the University of California, San Diego.
Urine collected from 100 Californians between 1993 and 2016 show that glyphosate levels have gone up with the advent of genetically modified crops, Mills said.
