Nothing is more exciting than when innovation meets purpose, which is precisely what the DiskarTech narrative is all about.

Being the first TagLish and Cebuano financial inclusion super app in the country that was launched in July 1, 2020, RCBC’s DiskarTech boasts its one-stop shop feature that gives its users a full end-to-end customer journey which includes bills payment, e-loading, free incoming and outgoing fund transfers, partner deposits, loans and microinsurance services. It also offers a 3.25-percent interest that users can earn annually in their digital savings accounts with no required initial deposit, no maintaining balance, and no dormancy fees.

DiskarTech has also become instrumental in disbursing more than USD371 million (Php18.7 billion) in government aid and cash subsidy, benefitting more than 27 million Filipinos in 76 out of 81 provinces in the country at the height of the pandemic.

Due to the affordability and accessibility of the services it offers, DiskarTech has booked exponential growth with a gross transaction value in excess of USD326 million (Php16.4 billion) in 16 months since its first launch. It was recognised as the 2020 breakout finance app in the country by App Annie, a global data analytics firm covering all mobile applications worldwide.

  • DiskarTech offers basic digitalised financial services such as bills payment, e-loading, free incoming and outgoing fund transfers via Instapay and PESONet (the country’s National Retail Payment System rails), partner deposits, loans and microinsurance services.
  • In collaboration with Malayan Insurance and Sun Life Grepa, DiskarTech also offers “insurtech” services to its users in the form of affordable, sachet-type microinsurance products which expands to telemedicine services at USD1 (Php50) monthly with unlimited medical consultations in partnership with RuralNet.
  • RCBC’s DiskarTech has successfully scaled its customer acquisition, usage and operations nationwide for a little more than a year since it was first launched in July 2020 at the height of the pandemic.
  • To date, DiskarTech has close to 5 million app downloads and registered users in every province of the country.
  • DiskarTech’s partner deposits also recorded a 39,933-percent and 8,992-percent surge in transaction value and volume, respectively.
